I will be hosting a best shot glow on Friday nights at 7:30 and tee off at 8 or so.  I will be starting at an earlier time when it gets dark early in the evening.   I will not be keeping points for this league and their will not be any trophies, just keeping it simple and that should make it alot of fun.  Entry is 5 bucks with a 1 dollar going to Parkside for improvements, the rest of the cash will be paid out.  I'm donating 25 bucks for a start of an ace pool, I don't know about everyone else but I have never had a night round ace.  I also am not putting a date on when this is ending as I am going to try to keep this going year round.  I also am going to donate 1 ctp every week that will be after the round.

Now, I know I have said in the past that I'd be interested in playing in a glow league, but certainly not anytime in the recent past.

Between my 3 month old son and my wife who stays home all day with him, I have a hard enough time trying to get out on Sunday mornings to play in Bever's league. Now, try getting even an unhappy okay out of the wife for three or so hours on a Friday evening not to mention god only knows where I may end up when 4 or 5 or 6 (or whenever I can finally sneak out of the building...) rolls around friday evening. I could be as far south as Flossmoor!



So, sorry to say Shawn, but I wouldn't count on me being an infrequent flier. Maybe once every couple months, and certainly not until after the hours of 7 to midnight are no longer my boy's witching hours when it comes to crabbiness.

Otherwise if anyone can make the trek to Bass Pro at Gurnee Mills you can find the 2" sticks in their fishing tackle department.



Be careful, though.... The package you want is the two sticks for $1.95... There are others but they're either tiny sticks or they have a clip built on for attaching to lures and poles.

Sounds great, Shawn, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you. I'll be there!  I was thinking about bringing my 14-yr old stepson Danny. He ain't no wimp, but he is innocent. ;p  Do you think it would be a problem/uncomfortable situation for some folks?

Wow, we had 7 people for not much notice and did we ever have fun.  Saw some great shots, the glowsticks are definately the way to go.  Everyone left with a smile on their face so I believe this is going to be a success.  Hope to see 20 next week.

This Friday Oct.4rth we will accually be teeing off at 8.  I'm posting next week earlier. Please everyone, If you show up late we are going to a charge you with a late fee of $32.50 or maybe a little less that will go into the ace pool.  Does that sound fair?

I love playing in the wind, I am going to go to the soccer feild and try to throw a few over 500' before glow.  It is so easy to throw far with a wind over 20mph.

Sure it was a little windy, and maybe a few sprinkles that stopped as fast as it started.  I was amazed by how low the scores were for a night when the winds were over 40mph at times and as low as 24mph.  The lowest score was -7, which is not bad considering the score for best shot that won on Saturday in the day time with not much wind was -8.  I am still wondering why Joe, Mirth and Myk are not showing up.  You guys wanted me to start this up and so I have.  It is way to much fun and I encourage everyong to make it next Friday, we will be starting earlier next week at 7:30.  If you sign up after 7:20 a late few will be applied.  So please sign up between 6:15-7:20.

This week is the last week of starting at 7, next week we are starting at 6 so show up at least 1/2 hour prior to get set up for glow.  It's hellafun for all.  Jim please note this change so that you don't have to change it again on the web site.

The Steady Ed event cleaned me out of glowsticks so If anyone has any extra please bring them.  I ordered more but they will not arrive until Monday.  Ace pot is at 80 bucks right now and the course is still at short.  I'm expecting someone to get an ace tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, This Friday should have a HUGE turnout.  The ace pool is at $95 right now.   I want everyone to tell everyone to show up this Friday as we will be having extra CTP's and a big ace pot.

Yes, it is going to be real informal.  Word of mouth like, between friends, pick up game.   Everyone from the club is invited.  We will discuss what to do with the ace pool from last fall as we are not going to be running one.  This has to do with the protcol of the university.  We are meeting at 6.
