Just wondering what disc you threw when it flew further than all the others in your bag.

For me - it was a beat up 171 gram 1st Run Champion Valkyrie that probably went 500ft in a 20mph tail wind

Mine was a 172g DX Beast. The hole was at Highland Park with the three trees like 50 feet from the tee.

It caught some sort of wind and just kept cruising past the pin over the stream and somewhere on the other side.

Hole 18, Fairfield. Caught the left to right wind on a big anny, flew a long ways, panned out before it got to the woods and kept on flying.

Back when I did not throw very far I accidentally threw an XL 100 feet further than I'd ever thrown one before.  It took forever to find it, even though it was in the middle of a cut lawn, because it did not occur to me to look 100 feet long.  That was when I first realized that throwing for distance is just a trick you can learn like riding a unicycle or juggling pins.  I did not throw another disc that far for three years, but it was very encouraging to know that that kind of distance was in me if I could figure out how to let it out.

I parked hole 18 at Elver once from the pro tee.... that's 550 downhill.
I also cleared bushes in front of the old placement for hole 2 at elver shortly after I started playing. Think it was maybe an Eclipse I threw. That was a 400ish foot drive.

My air shots are just now almost becoming what I want them to be...

My flick roller is still the best for pure D where terrain & OB aren't issues. I've parked both #8 & #17 at Lombard with it, but have also rolled past into the street.   :'( I think those are both about 400'. Oh yeah, it was a Champ Viking.

hmmm... I still have yet to go out and measure it.   But I'm pretty sure it would be close to 700' in a 30-40 MPH tailwind w/ a beat Proto DX Valk.

Probably the disc that chin-chin is drooling on in my picture...  A really domey, hard, clear Champ Orc.  DX Beast or maybe a Pro Wraith is the only other disc I've been able to throw that far, but I would also flip them too often to actually use them regularly.

As an update disc was still a DX Beast, but the time and place has changed...

Hole 8 at Buffalo Grove, very little wind, everything came together on one thrown and overshot the pin. Now if I could only duplicate that throw.

I have two drives that I will not forget...   Parkside #6 long and blasted one 40ft+ past the deck on 9 with a 10x Eagle.  Other was Edgebrook and punched out 600+ roller to have a drop in 3 on one of the par 5's with a ce valk.

The 600 one is discussion board distance....   I really have no clue, just going by the distance that was on the card and a roc upshot...  so it went far and was cool...

Oh my bad Brett. The one I was thinking of was when you were with adam.
