Has anybody thrown this disc yet?  How was it?  Any idea as to when it will move into a higher quality plastic?

I've thrown it.  New, it is a straight flying mid-range very much like a domey Buzzz.  It is not as understable as a Coyote.  It's nothing special or revolutionary, just another mid-range that may or may not catch on.

not as understable as the Coyote?  Hmm, maybe I should be out throwing mine more...  My coyote flew very straight for me at first and then suddenly one day I started turning it over a LOT (same with the Hawk).  I try to use a drone for a good hook, Roc for now as much hook, Coyote or Hawk for straighter (maybe the Goblin would be a good replacement here) and a Stingray for understable to hook the other way.

Agreed with the Goblin feeling like a Buzzz. Haven't thrown them side by side to see comparisons for myself.

Seems to me that the discs that are out of the box straight (coyote, goblin, element, etc) degenerate into a flippy, understable, unuseable disc as they break in.  Discs that don't start out straight (roc, wasp, element x, wizard) and are more stable at high speeds break in to be great, straight mids that don't roll over on you until they are really beat to crap.  I think I'd rather have the latter and skip the out of the box straight discs.  My .02

Agreed.  My beat-up KC Roc is the most dependable turnover disc I have.  Dead straight hyzer flips.  Of course I needed to use it for about a year, taco it a few times, and have it run over by a few cars before it became that kind of disc.  I'm trying to beat in a DX Roc right now so I'll have a backup, but I'm reluctant to put it under my car.  ;D

You can make any disc work.  It all about power and realease angle.  Its your arm that makes a good shot possible, not the disc.

In a way I agree Neal but if you'd give me a monster, speed demon, or a firebird, my game would be more useless than it is now. I rely on stable plastic to get what distance I have with accuracy.

In the past 2 years i've seen players gaining massive distance. I keep thinking i'm going to max out in D and every year some new disc helps me add 10-20ft. I went from throwing the CE Valkyrie about 320 feet to throwing Orcs 340 to throwing Wraiths 360. I can gurantee I cannot throw any of the above mentioned discs 360 feet.

I've seen you go from throwing 400-450 with some high speed stable discs to chopping off D with that super plastic you want to get sponsored by :o.

I usually only carry 3, the hawk, stingray, and right now I'm carrying both the Roc AND the Drone because I only started throwing the Roc a couple of weeks ago.  Still playtesting.  I know everyone loves it, but I have to make sure it would work well for me.
