Ken Lay died of a heart attack.  This guy didnt spend one day in jail and robbed many of their life savings. 

The only upside I can see is that he will go down in history for the scumbag he is - he cant appeal from the grave.

Assuming he is really dead I question the title of this thread.  Elvis (ok not the real Elvis but the bloated country boy who liked to pop lots of pills Elvis) and Morrison may not have been model citizens but they do not desereve to be on the same island as this guy.  I imagine him in a time warp on a raft off the coast of Alaska about a dozen years or so ago when Captain Hazelwood...yeah, that's a better hell for him.

good point.  lay was about as bad as they get.  he robbed millions of thier personal savings and investments, nealry bankrupted the worlds 9th largest economy (california), and showed no remorse for it all.  a true social deviant.  as soon as it was evident that he was the crook the prosecution made him out to be he should have been hung from a lightpoll outside the courthouse or maybe a little reinactment of the torture scene from pulp fiction with a little bit of some 'cujo' thrown in there.

I'm honestly surprised a lot of those guys hadn't tried to commit suicide (not that I think suicide is a good thing to do of course), but it almost makes you think "was it really a heart attack?"

running off that idea - it could be that he could have potentially dropped some names and situations that could humiliate some and prosecute others.  so he was seen as a liability and knocked off to limit the damage.

I saw Lay's team stretching out his appeal process until Shrub pardoned ol' "Kenny Boy" on his way out of office in 08. I don't know that he could have harbored any 'secrets' that could be any worse that the crap that's gone on so far.

what they have already done shows what they are capable of.  and like an iceberg, we're probably only seeing the tip of things.  i wonder what other schemes they had up their sleve...
