Well...turns out my bro-in-law lives about a mile away, so we piled into the car after swimming all day, drove out there, and found...NOTHING?  Are we stupid?  Or has the course disappeared?  We followed the map from the pdga-mapquest link, and it took us to a residential area with a dead end.

I will try talking with one of my co-workers that lives in Carol Stream.  She is always talking about how I needed to go and check out that course (she doesn't play, but has heard lots about the course).  Maybe she has actually seen it too.

From doing some research, it looks like it actually is supposed to be on the NORTH side of the street (which is what the PDGA directions state) as there is a slight outcropping of the park on the opposite side of the road.

Here's some info that I found:
http://www.st-charlesparks.org/links/PR-discgolf.htm

I also found this information:

Campton Hills Park Disc Golf Course (Golf,Outdoor Recreation,Sports Facilities)
Campton Hills Park | St. Charles, IL 60175 | (630)587-3373
Open: Sunday - Saturday 9:00 - Dusk
Often referred to as "Frisbee golf," Disc golf is similar to traditional golf but is played with specially designed, Frisbee-like disc that are thrown from a tee box area towards metal poles that support elevated baskets that serve as the target "hole". There are no fees involved in playing disc golf, but players must bring their own equipment. Great family activity. The disc golf course is located on the north side of Campton Hills Rd. approximately 1/2 mile west of Peck Rd. Look for the sign and the small gravel parking lot.

Last but not least, according to this map from the Park District, http://www.st-charlesparks.org/links/southwestmap.htm you can see the green area north of the park that is supposedly where the disc golf course is at.

I'll have to head out there soon to try to check it out :)  It's probably only about 20 minutes away for me!

I just played there 2 weekends ago. Looking at the map stpitner linked too, the disc golf area is on the north side of Campton Hills road, right where that little green "point" is on the left side of the map.

The course is pretty nice. It's not a long course, however it is really wooded and makes for some nice scenery. There is some nice elevation changes too. I would definately play that course again.

The GPS coordiantes on pdga.com are pretty accurate. After you pass the big complex on the left, there is a side street for some homes on the north side of the road. Go past that street and look for a gravel parking lot on your right. It's not very far down and easy to pass. Last time I tried to play it was in December and they closed it for the winter. ???

And if I recall correctly, I was east bound on Campton Hills road and there was a sign saying "Disc Golf" with an arrow

Yah, there is but if I remember correctly it isn't that big of a sign, easy to miss.

Well, if you're driving somewhere to play disc golf, a sign that says "DISC GOLF" kind of sticks out. I didn't know where I was going, just following the GPS, and then I saw the sign.

for a short nine holer, i think this course is a ton of fun.  i used to party in those woods back in the day, so i have a deep connection with the area.  does anybody know if anything has been organized here as far as a random doubles tournament or something?  this is a busy course, so i would think an event there would have a good turnout.
