08/05 Sat 8:00AM    30 S  Disc(Frisbee) Golf Ride~ Dave Barish 
NEW DATE!  We will ride to play at least two different disc golf courses in the north shore.  Dave will have his golf bag with a variety of discs. Please bring your disc(s) if you have them.  Dave will provide instruction in the mechanics and tactics of disc golf. If you would like Dave to obtain a golfing disc or discs for you let him know beforehand.  He can get them for you. 

I have led this ride for the past few years with the bike club.  We leave from the Chandler Center on Central Street in Evanston across from Evanston Hospital.  We will ride to two easy 9-holers in Glencoe and Highland Park.  The bike club people are extreme beginners.  Of course, you guys may be extreme beginners on the bike-- its a good match.  I got back into disc golf while scouting the route for this ride in 2004.  I googled disc golf and came across the Discontinuum website.  Since then I haven't biked as much because I have been throwing too much.  Disc golf has become the perverbial booger that you can't flick off your finger.  It goes to prove that you seek your own level.  I have played lots of disc golf and still suck as much as I did two years ago.  I am just as strong a rider as I was when I was riding over 5000 miles/year. 

This ride will be easygoing and fun.  It will be slow paced @ 10-12 mph. 25-30 mile ride.  Sorry, Terry, I thought I was going to Milwaukee but forgot that I had scheduled this ride.

There is no fee for any EBC club ride. Just show up and pedal yer bike.
