I personally thought that was probably the poorest display of football that could be seen in one game combined by two teams. Being a Lions fan I normally root against all of the NFC North, but I'm finding myself rooting for the Bears lately also now that I'm living here. Last night I was somewhat torn because it's nice to see underdogs succeed as well and Leinhart started off really well. No team should win with 6 turnovers. Rex Grossman was passing like a chump last night! I'd be so mad if I had a fantasy team haha.

Leinhart did deserve to win that game, but I'm happy he didn't. 6 turnovers for the Bears, and the Cards only were able to convert that to 13 points. 2 turnovers for the Cards and the Bears converted that to 14 points.

Did you hear Dennis Green after the game?  :o

That was hilarious!  Here's a link to it:

Urlacher played an inspired game & Grossman played like crap, but I don't want to hear anyone say, "When are they going to put in Griese?"  Griese and Grossman are in two different leagues in terms of talent.  Rex just needs time to gain experience.  He's just trying to do too much.  He's trying to win the game with the deep ball as if he were playing Madden '07.  He'll get better at decision making.  You can't teach the kind of talent he has.  You can, however, teach patience and pocket presence.

Urlacher owned. That had to be one of the best quarters of football I have ever seen by a defensive player. Wow!

Time of Possesion: Cards 40min/Bears 20min. How the defense even had the energy to play like that in the 4th quarter is amazing.

Grossman had better get his head out of his asre. And quickly! Maybe he was just trying to see how good this defense can be.

All that aside. My goodness the Cards suck.

Not sure the win was worth losing Mike Brown. They did not play all that well without him last year. We will have to wait and see.

If they learn from this it could turn out to be a great season for the Bears.

roflmao.

That was an awesome blowup. Too bad he controlled himself. If your gonna blow up. BLOW UP dammint!

I'll crown 'em! :D  Mike Brown will be a big loss.  The rest of the guys really consider him the vocal leader of that defense.  How about that Todd Johnson hit on Monday night!  He's a head hunter but he's no Mike Brown.

Oh man, what a great day to be at the game yesterday. In the first half, there was so much energy in the stands, but the second half was a different story. I was hoping for a 70 point shutout, but I settled for them covering the 16 points and also covering the over/under of 42  ;D

Awesome game!!! If I would have knocked my father over I would have had Moose's TD ball, but as it were the guy sitting in the seat just behind my dad got it.  Oh well still a great day for DA BEARS!!!

Rex has the potential to be a great QB...but he still has some learning to do. I predicted that the Bears were going to be 14-2 this season, so being 7-1 doesn't look too bad, except I didn't plan on Miami being one of the two losses. Oh well, they need to win next Sunday in order to set things straight...or if injuries start to catch up with them they could fizzle from here on out.

I can't believe that the Bears returned a missed field goal for a touchdown for the second time in consecutive seasons!  What a huge play!  I think that play gave the Bears all the momentum they needed to steamroll the Giants.

That was awesome.  Hilarious too.  Don't mind me.  I'm just wandering around aimlessly in the end zone with a football.  No, not really thinking about running out.  Just -- zooooooom!

In the press conference, Hester said that he was analyzing the field and determining which way to run.  He said that some of the Giants were walking off the field and he just took off toward the Bears sideline.  What were those guys thinking?  Had they forgotten that Vasher did that to the 49ers almost a year previous to the day?

I loved watching Hillenmeyer cream Jay Feely on the runback.

That's right punk lol.  Packers haven't lost yet :)  I just feel bad for the Jets and the Cardinals down at the bottom.  They almost need pity clicks.

In all seriousness, it's cool what campbell's does... donates cans that weigh as much as the entire winning team's player's weights combined.

Yea but it makes them money in the end. They use it as a "linkbait" tool to get more people linking to their website. In the end they make more money on it than they lose because more people are reminded of their product and order some online possibly. Search for "soup" on Google. #2 ain't bad for a very broad term! Same thing happened with Burger King a few years ago with that subservient chicken campaign that they had. Search for "chicken" on Google. More links = better rankings (as long as you do it right).

It's definitely good for them to do that and give to the community. They aren't doing it for the goodness of mankind though.

OK, so we can breathe a sigh of relief that Grossman can still play football. Now it's like getting a birdie, doesn't count until you at least par the next hole. If they don't follow with another good offensive showing it could be a bumpy & short playoff ride.

Grossman was at the doctor's office and he says, "Doctor, doctor, will I be able to play professional football?" And the doctor says, "Usually the way that joke goes is, 'Doctor, doctor, will I be able to play the violin.'"
