Seriously, are we going to have to go through another season with a defense that can score more points than it's offense?

It looks like it considering defense + special teams = 14, offense = 10 for the scoring tonight.  7 of those 10 for the offense were the result of a 42 yard run back off a punt it looks like too. hehe.

But what do I know... I'm a Green Bay fan.

Obviously us Packers fans know more than those Bears fans.  but i did pick up the bears defense in my fantasy league.

A very wise decision. I just hope you didn't waste your third round pick for that... ;)

That still seems pretty early to pick a defense.

Griese should be the head QB!!!! he's got the expierence and makes better decisions more consistently then grossman.
but i guess i doesn't matter cause grossman will be hurt by week 3, not that i want that or anything but hes a puss and can't take a hit.

Griese did look good everytime he was in, against the second string defense.  But I do think that lovie should let him start against the 1st team and see how he does.  I really hope Grossman can pick it up and show us that he wasn't a fluke or made of porcelan (sp?). I guess only time will tell once the season starts.  How many losses do you think he gets in the reg. season before they switch him for Griese?

what, final score of the Bears-packers game where the Bears only manage to get a safety?  :P  Sorry, that record sounds just a little too ambitious considering the offense.

Grossman is just following in the footsteps of his predecessors, a la Chris "Chandelier" Chandler.

I'd put the Bears around a 9-7 record this season.

I don't always have a good feeling about the Bears in pre-season but this year I do. They could go 2-14 also but I thought I'd throw my prediction out there. I think the chances that Grossman plays the whole season is somewhere south of 50-50 but I also don't think that the Bear's chances fall into the hands of a healthy Grossman. Defense again is the key to the Bears game this year. IF the Bears can offer up an average NFL offense they could go 14-2.

We can post again in January. See you next year!  ;)

I'm putting the over-under on a quarterback change at 4 weeks into the regular season.  I'm taking the over with a Griese start in week 5.

haha, so i fell asleep about 4 minutes into the 4th qtr.  whooops!  miraculous comeback aside, wtf was up with Grossman?  That was worse than any game that Kyle Orton or Jonathan Quinn every played.  Somebody better slap him upside the head cuz we won't win playoff games with that kind of performance.

Last night is the wake up call the Bears needed. Young quarterbacks will have bad games like that, but most of them don't have the luxury of having the Bears defense to help them bounce back and pull out a win like that. Great effin game! I was walking out of the bar, and when I got to the door I saw the fumble return. HAD to stay then. Oh, and I even got to meet Otis Wilson last night.  ;D
