That's what I thought.  One person in my group asked me is that OB.  I looked at the course routing/rules and it says "baseball field" only, nothing about a fence.  Luckily no one in my group decided to make a scene about it after the round as I saw happen to another player.

I personally didn't like Jay's argument about Brian not knowing the course back there, and that it's a given that that property line is out of bounds.  If he doesn't know the course, he shoudn't draw up the sheet or it should say clearly that any property line fences are out of bounds.  There's only maybe a handful of holes out there out of all 72 where that comes into play so you could just list it on the sheet for those particular holes.

brian also informed me that the PDGA rule for a lost disc is not to re-tee as I foolishly thought, but in fact to play it from where you last saw it.  and i was told i was ridiculous for questioning him, as he is a 'pdga official'.  so hey, you get what you get when you go to Cedar Lake.  its always an adventure!

It would make sense that there would be a rule that says that if you are not on the course then you are OB...but I don't think there is one!

Probably because that would be a subjective rule.  What might be defined as 'the course' to one player may not be the same for another..

Not OB.
And yet, trespassing on the neighbor's property would be grounds for disqualification under the rule prohibiting any conduct that is against the law.  Therefore, the disc is in an unplayable lie.   >:D  Is this smiley appropriate?

As opposed to the rest of our rules which are not subject to interpretation?  ;D  But you are right. Generally ball golf courses the OB is well defined as well as the course is well defined. Not so much in disc golf.

At IOS tournaments at Aurora in the past, there was as temp hole by a neighbor's property.   There was a similiar fence to the one in question at Lemon Lake.  The difference was that Brett or Bruce or somebody clearly stated that going over that fence was OB.  That's the difference.  You can't assume that everyone knows the rules you follow in league or the rules of the course period.  It needs to be stated ahead of time.
