You can get a pretty good idea of #17 from this video.

Sweet. Looks like a nice risk/reward shot where they have a wider landing zone away from the basket but the immediate basket area is much harder to hit.

It is a good hole. To park it you have to play it perfect. I threw a beat Roc right at the pin and let it turn to the right. I 2'd it 3 of the 4 rounds. Missed the birdie putt on the other. Rico almost blew up when his putter hit the hay bails & bounced back.

Barry is right there after 1 round, just a shot back.  Barry hasn't won USDGC or Worlds in a couple years, I think this year he will pull it out.  Jenkins and Anthon are both right there too though and they have been at the top all year this year.  I wish we could watch highlights on TV.

The live audio with the skittles for the disc placement of the group and refreshing top two cards is WAAAAAAY cool.

Of course it would be even cooler if we were following some  of our local favorites.

Brett,

How tough is this course? It looks brutal with the OB on each side on some of these holes.  It looks like disc placement is extremely important.

Looks like Climo is tearing it up this round.

stpitner

Climo is doing great, but so is Barry.  If I'm adding it up right, Barry is -10 through 12 on the 2nd round, so that's -20 overall.  If he keeps that up no one is going to catch him!  I'd like to see Ken or some other guys give him a good run at it though.  It hurts for Ken that he was only -1 for the day yesterday.  amazing what these guys can do.

Schultz has the lead by 5 strokes now. Wow!

That live feed and the audio is really cool. Too bad that I didn't get any work done today!

It's probably agood thing that my company blocks the streaming audio. The toss-by-toss diagrams are great. There was one hole where I was thinking to myself that Josh Anthon must have been getting frustrated when he three-putt. I was also thinking, "I do that all to often myself."  :P

www.discgolftv.com has some great footage of the course. Wednesday-> You can get a good idea of how #17 plays and some great views of #18's green & how it slopes down to the water. You get to see how tough of a 3rd shot it takes to carry the water on hole #5 as well. Thursday-> You can get a good idea how downhill hole #3 plays with the tight OB to the left & the schule to the right.

This course is ridiculously tough. You have to stay between the lines and limit the damage when you do go OB. I have my book at home but I believe I went OB 16 times last year. 4 of those on the same hole. The grass is cut ultra short making discs skip like crazy. I managed to shoot par(68) the 1st round out there and faded every round after that. I just wish I could go back and replay the 888 hole that 2nd round. Took a 12 and finished +6. That hurt >:(. There are potential blow ups (big #'s on many of the holes) such as hole 5 & 13. The clown's mouth is gone for this year but heard it will be back next year. That hole is playing much easier this year and was a major blow up hole last year. Even a birdie hole like #17 is brutal. If you miss the island it's an automatic bogey. Trouble will find you and any mistake.

Someone par'd 17 in one of the first two rounds by going OB and then basically acing it for his 3rd shot. Pretty crazy!

Just read the Yeti Road Report & he mentions that along with a couple of other sweet shots. Unbelievable, laying up, catapults off a stick, then into the basket. WOW~~~

Geez.  Another -10 today for Barry.  I don't think there's anybody that can catch him!  Absolutely insane the way he is playing right now.  He was 6 strokes better than everyone else on the leader card, and it would take an extreme blow up in round 4 to let anybody else squeak in.

Nice job so far Barry!

Unreal.  Talk about domination.  Even Bryan Schumann could go out there and bring home the title tomorrow with that lead!
