If more people wanted to post phone numbers too, that would be cool. I know we'll all get together Wednesday night, but it's a long week with only a round or two per day so lots of idle time to be had!

I'm in C.  I'll be starting at Brown Deer first thing Tuesday am apparently.  I work Sat. and Sunday, but will be heading up on Monday.  Would love to get at least 2 rounds in at Brown Deer to get ready for Tues.  Tag rounds would be fun.
That kid is back on the escalator!!!

Pool C is the IL pool.  We all have a lot of downtime on Tuesday with an 8am round and then nothing the rest of the day.  Maybe I'll go out to Sussex if I can't think of anything better to do.

Am I the only one who doesn't get why you'd put all the wisconsin players in one pool?  You go to worlds and you play half your rounds with everyone you see at a popular local tournament?

I agree with you.  I was hoping to play with some new faces.  Not that there are any new faces in the over 50 group.

I had the same question myself but I try not to question people who have been busting their butts getting ready. If I remember hearing correctly, don't the groups get shuffled on Thursday?

It looks like the pools were simply created based on home state, only about 30 advanced players are not with the majority of participants from their state.  I guess those guys asked to be pooled with specific other players.

Terry posted on PDGA discussion board that "The PDGA spent hours upon hours to organize and orchestrate these pool assignments" & "tried to accommodate every request that came in on time."  So it may be the MAN in the PDGA front office that made the pools using home state to determine who was where.

And, yes, there's a shuffle based upon scores after three rounds.  I'll only recognize people on Thursday & Friday if they suck like I do.

Actually they don't shuffle based on scores; they sort based on scores.  Years ago someone called it the Great Shuffle and that stuck, but it is really the Great Sort.

I believe they keep them in the same pool to make it easier for carpooling..  Good luck to all the players, I should be up there helping out just about every day after work..

Does anyone know if the schedule at the worlds website from 7/11/07 is still accurate? I'd like to go up there tomorrow and watch but want to make sure I'm showing up at the right place at the right time. Thanks!
