I heard that Streamwood had (or was organizing) a disc golf club. And that there was an interest in a club challenge against Fox Valley Metro.

If anyone on this board is a member of the Streamwood group, contact me or Aaron Scott (Fox Metro Discer). Let's do it. August is good. One round at Streamwood, one round at Jericho Lake (or Eagle Ridge).

Elmo heads up that club I believe.  He's the guy that heads up the best shot doubles at Streamwood.  Tony Battisti is also involved with that group.  His id on here is wkebrd93 or something like that.

Next Wednesday (Aug 29th) we're having a meeting at the pavilion at Jericho Lake, at 6:30 PM.

If anyone is playing in Aurora that night, feel free to stop by and check things out. There should be some good information.

We'll be hosting a few tournaments in the coming months. One of them being our annual Ice Bowl. Bigger and better than last year. And our website will be up and running by the time of the next meeting, too. The URL is:

Are your guys running a league right now? I just moved to the area about a month ago and I have been playing up in Waukegan for the past month on Sunday's. I was hoping to find something a little closer for during the week. Let me know. Thanks

Currently we are running 2 leagues:
1) doubles on Monday nights at 6 pm
2) singles on Thursday nights at 6 pm
Both leagues change between Jericho Lake in Aurora and Eagle Ridge in Oswego.
This week's leagues are being held at Eagle Ridge with next week at Jericho Lake.

Yesterday the forum was breathing. Today, I think it's functional. 

Just in time, too. Because there's a big meeting tomorrow (Sunday). 

"Big," because we'll be going through the inital phases of mapping out our tournaments, and talking about some important topics related to our courses & our future as a club. And eventhough nothing will be set in stone, we'll have a pretty good timeframe as to what we're looking at.

Bag Tag challenge starts at noon. Meeting afterwards. Eagle Ridge. Come on by, if you are in the area.

I'm sure we'll put some of that information under The Club Members' Corner & Disc Golf Courses.  But most of the information that you might be interested in will be under Leagues & Tournaments.

I posted this on our site. But it probably makes more sense to post it here:

The next Bag Tag Challenge on Saturday (9/8) was already mentioned. But it probably can be mentioned here too, since the tournament is coming up, and some players might want to come by and get in a free, competitive, practice round before the real thing, next weekend at IOS #5.

We've had non-club members play at all the bag tag challenges, so don't worry about sticking out. The more, the merrier. So this is an invitation for anyone to come out, and get in a competitive round on Saturday at noon (at Jericho Lake), before the big show next weekend. No cost.

Us, with garbage bags, will be cleaning up as we play the round; getting the place ready. So if you can put up with that, see if you can make it out.

The Date for the Fox Valley Metro DGC  Tournament has been changed.

The date has been changed to accomodate those that would wish to attend either the Dark Side of the Plastic tournament held in Kirkland or the end of summer league party held in Channahon.

The date for the tournament is now Saturday, November 3rd. All other info remains the same.

There will be a bag tag challenge for our club this Saturday at  Jericho Lake in Aurora. Start time is roughly 2:30 pm. We will start after our weekly doubles league. $1 optional ace pool.

Come get your last chance to grab a low tag before the end of year club tournament.

I will have the full line of merch available at this event!  I will be setting up at Jericho while the first round is still going on at Eagle Ridge.  I just placed an order for 60 Star Destroyers, a bunch of glow discs (including Roc's and Aviars), and then 20 each of the 2007 Pumpkin Roc, Pumpkin Aviar, and Pumpkin Sonic.

$10 entry as club fundraiser, includes food and glow sticks.
