Registration for this event is up and running.  There are a few oddities about this event so please be sure to be diligent and read carefully!

First and foremost - there will be ZERO day of registration for Saturday's competition.  If this event is anything like last year that won't even matter because we had 105 registered last year along with 30+ on a waiting list.  However, even if we were to have 50 pre-registered we wouldn't take anymore during Saturday morning.  This is to help the event run more smoothly.  Please note that if there are any openings still for Sunday you may be able to sign up on Saturday night or Sunday morning but I wouldn't count on it.

Secondly, check the divisions and which days they play.  The only 'odd' one is the fact that Adv Masters play on Sunday and not Saturday.

As always, you are more than welcome to mail in your entry forms instead of using my site.  Contact me or check out the registration pages if you need my address.

However here are the pre-registration pages for the event:

Saturday Pre-Registration

Sunday Pre-Registration

We will have CUSTOM discs as part of the player's packs and hopefully we'll be able to provide free lunch like in past years!  Get signed up today because I'm expecting a full field of 90 players per day!

QuoteJust getting the thread started that we will be back in Janesville for the 2007 Wisconsin Tour Warm Up.

Jake Jacobson is 'the man' and has been very critical with the entire Janesville development.  This event will host some type of raffle or fund raiser so Jake and others can continue to improve on this awesome course.

I will have registration information posted within the week. It will be a PDGA C-Tier and it won't be as muddy as previous years for 2 reasons

1)  It will be in April (versus March)
2)  Jake said they are only a few short of having all tee pads be concrete.  There is even a chance that by the time of the event all 18 of them will be done!

I am going to do something new this year to ensure smooth events - there will be ZERO on site registration for Saturday's players (Adv  & Pros).  Pre-registration will help the entire event run smoother, quicker, and more efficient.  i'd like to say that Sunday's players can still sign up on Saturday night but if this event is anything like last year's that won't happen because we'll be sold out!

Stayed tuned for more details posted on here in the next few days.

On a day like today it's sure is nice to think about the Wisconsin Tour WARM Up!

I think this will be my first real tourney of the year again. Anyone want to carpool? Gas is getting crazy ALREADY!

Mitch

I will likely be playing on Sunday 4/15 also Chris. Carpooling makes sense, but you and I live too far apart and not really on the way. I am looking for others from the north burbs who may want to ride with me.

Registrations are now coming in via snail mail and the Take Flight Today website.  There are only 81 spots left for Saturday and if you that's plenty take a look at the 115 person field that was there last year!  Here are some updated links:

Registration via Take Flight Today - Saturday

Currently Pre-Reg'd for Saturday

Registration via Take Flight Today - Sunday

Currently Pre-Reg'd for Sunday

Again - custom stamped discs for almost everyone!

Hello?

Any of you guys coming up for the event?  The plan is to offer either 2 custom stamped DX discs or 1 custom stamped Star disc for the event.

The rec division will basically be trophy only.  You will get more than your entry fee in your player's pack and then we'll still have trophies.

I hope to see you there.  I spoke to a handful of guys over the weekend in BG and they said they plan to come up.  Get signed up one way or another!

Terry,
When will registration for this event close, considering there is no day off registration?  I think I am coming but not 100% sure yet.

I will be in Janesville all day on Friday (at least that's the plan right now).  I think there is internet connection where we are staying so that means the online registration for SAT will stay up until I go to bed late on Friday night.  The online reg for SUN will stay up through Saturday night.

I MIGHT offer some day of registration for SAT if there are still spots available but if that's the case there will for sure be some type of "day of tax" tacked on.  Pre-registering will CERTAINLY be cheaper than this tax (if it is even offered).

Sunday registrations can come in now, Friday, Saturday, or even Sunday (with no taxing on Sunday).  However, pre-registering one way or another always secures your spot in the event so do it somehow.

I am also CONSIDERING opening up Sunday to ALL divisions if there is enough interest.  That MIGHT mean that if you played Saturday you MIGHT be able to come back and play on Sunday if I decide to offer the appropriate division for you.  For example, I might offer an Open field on Sunday in addition to all of the other divisions that are already offered.  That's a bunch of maybes or what ifs so don't hold me to any of this paragraph just yet!

Thanks and please PRE-REGISTER one way or another.  Call or e-mail me with any questions.

Great, thanks for the info.  I will probably know by Thursday night/Friday morning about playing, so that should be plenty of time to pre-reg.  What is the course like?  If I like the course and you offer open again on sunday, I will probably make the drive again.

OK, then, how much MUD is in Janesville?  If it's muddy, is this tourny worth the drive?

Mukey

Last year, when this was in March, there was about 1-2" of snow and a bunch of mud. If all the tee pads are now concrete, then I wouldn't worry about the footing. Last year only the front 9 had tee pads, but I wore my Seal Skinz socks and was fine.

Terry runs good tournaments & gives good value for your loot, so that's not the question.

The course itself is not that spectacular, but it's a decent course with a good variety of shots.

All depends on if you want to make that drive.

Thanks.  IF the tees are complete, I'm not worried about them.  How are the fairways and greens?  I'm still wearing that damn boot and it sucks in the mud.

Thanks, Mukey.  Amazingly, there was no mud whatsoever today.

Congratulations, Mitch, on depriving the cheese heads of the 1st Place Rec. Trophy!

Thanks Kurt,

I stopped at Home Depot on the way home and got some mastic and grout and installed that beautiful trophy tile in our kitchen backsplash. My wife is gonna love it!

I had a great time today, Thanks to Terry and his people for a well run, fun tourny!!
