Illinois is in baby!   thank god.  a 12 seed is a joke though.  Indiana is a 7 and we are a 12?  WTF?

That being said, if we can get by V.Tech the 1st round, we get either SIU or Holy Cross to make the Sweet 16.  I like our chances against either of those teams or any mid-major team for that matter.  Memphis is an extremely weak 2 seed.

also, Wisconsin got a pretty easy draw to make the elite 8 and I think Ohio State got an incredibly easy draw to make the Final Four.

if SIU and U of I do get to play each other, I think it will be a great game. A game that many people in this state have been waiting for.  I'm looking for a score of 53-47 SIU when it's all said and done.  This is a mirror game since it is head coach versus first assistant and I think the student (CLO) will surpass the master (BAM). GO DAWGS!!!!!!!

It would be nice to have Illinois play S. Ill, but I can't see Illinois winning that game. Whatever happens, I just hope Kansas loses. ;D

We'll see what happens. There is no doubt in my mind IL will be in that game against VTech.. Their defense has been incredible this season. Hopefully we can put the damn ball in the hole and hit some free throws. They should be super pumped knowing they could havea shot to knock out SIU & Kansas! How sweet would that be?

i've already filled out atleast 10 brackets today.  Hopeully I can win either 10 grand or a 60" plasma TV.  Some of the seedings seem really screwed up to me this year.  UNLV a 7 seed?  Usually a 4 vs. 12 game should be alot more obvious than the IL or the Arkansas games.  Those teams are better than 12 seeds.  Also I noticed like 67% of people have picked G.Tech to beat UNLV.

I hope illinois and SIU win their first games, but Illinois was lucky to get in, they should be grateful for a seed at all.  From what I've read and heard, they got chosen because they beat indiana in the tourney.  They lose, they are NIT bound.  Secondly, don't underestimate VT SIu beat them early in the season at a OOC tourney thankfully it was then and not later in the year.  VT really picked up steam beating some big ACC opponents.  I'm not saying they can't be beaten, just illinois needs to have the ready and ferocious defensive team show up and not the young and unmotivated team show up that squeaks by PSU in the first round of the big 10(11) tourney.
