Jericho Ice Bowl coming to TV

[Disc Golf Live]

Many thanks to Abe Arenas for sending in some great footage to Disc Golf Live.  I haven't finished reviewing all the goods yet, but you folks in IL can be sure your video guy's goods will be coming soon to an episode of Disc Golf Live video magazine.

Thanks again, Abe.  I don't know the best direction to go with your material yet, but you can be sure something will make it into an upcoming show.  I'm thinking of the July episode, when the snowy footage will make a good reminder that its not always too hot outside to play some disc golf!

For those who don't know, DGL is a video magazine all about our favorite sport.  With 16 episodes in the can, the show provides an hour of DG action every two months.  Shows are broadcast on community access stations across the country, and since the shows are free to broadcast partners, there's no reason not to contact your local station to see what it will take to get some DG on TV in your town.

Chicago has all kinds of great community access resources.  If there are promoters out there in the Chicagoland area, there's no excuse for not having the show on the air.

Surf on over and you'll see its easy to get hooked up at the station; even lowly community access broadcasts will give DG a big boost publicity wise.  I'm happy to send out DVDs to folks who facilitate broadcasts, so let me know.

Otherwise, the shows are also available for home delivery via subscription, or bulk purchases for event sales/player pkgs, etc.

That's great, Joe. Thanks for looking at them so fast. I'm glad you liked what you saw.

The funny thing is that I intentionally didn't zoom in on a lot of the action like I wanted to, because my hands were so cold I just thought I'd mess up the shot. They could have been a lot better. Next time!

I hate shooting in the cold!  Things are changing around now though, so your next shoot should be in better conditions.

Absolutely. I just shot footage of the 2007 DISContinuum Club Challenge  at Eagle Ridge in Oswego (IL). I'll be putting it all together over the next couple weeks. (You can see the thread "2007 DISContinuum Club Challenge " for information on that tournament). I'll send it off to you as soon as it's done.

One DVD will feature a round with Brett Comincioli & Tom McManus vs. Roger & Ray Esquivel. And also featuring Dan Michler. The second DVD will also feature Dan Michler along Mike Holmquist and Spike, in a round of singles.
