I'm thinking about going to watch the Pro Worlds this year.  But I don't really want to go all the way up there and not be able to play the courses.  I've tried calling Highbridge, but the number is disconnected.  I've tried emailing, but gotten no response.

Does anyone know how soon after the tournament the courses will be open to the public again?  Or how long before?

If not, does anyone know of any way to get a hold of them other than the info on their website?

Maybe try to get a hold of someone on the 2007 Pro Worlds website contact page. Chuck Kennedy is in charge of the schedule & if you e-mail him, I'm sure he'd let you know.

Plus, they have the schedule & it looks like some of the courses are open in the beginning of the week, if you're going to be there.

Go to the PDGA discussion board and find the pro worlds thread. Chuck Kennedy will reply quickly.

In case I was not the only one curious about this, here is Chuck Kennedy's response:

The courses will be open for play every day once the afternoon round is done on each course which will occur somewhere between 4 and 5:30 depending on the course. It doesn't get dark until 9ish that time of year so getting at least one round in each day should be no problem. Check the latest schedule posted on the website.

And they'll still be open to the public during the identified practice periods before the event. Granite Rdige and the Woodland Bear will be open about Noon on Sunday of the Finals with Blueberry and Gold being tied up until the Finals are over in the late afternoon.

It will still be pay-for-play during that time period. Tournament players play free during the competition week from Sunday thru Sunday. Greens fee rates are reduced at least 50% for competitors who come earlier than Sunday, July 29th to practice and for those traveling with them. Regular daily fees are $5/round or $8 all you can play on weekdays and $10 all day on weekends. Even at full rates, you'll never be disappointed with the course experience at Highbridge.
