Brett,

I know you described it earlier somewhere, but could you repost the description for 4A?

I'm making a big assumption that 18A might be like it was for Prairie Open (perpendicular to #18 along the building - and if it is, you might mention that the road is OB as well), but what/where is 18B?

6A is like IOS last yr so I remember that.

thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

4A-> After hole #4 you will walk across the street like you are heading to #5's long tee.. The tee will be near Wood Road. The hole will run between the sidewalk and inner loop road. The basket will be elevated on the 2nd or 3rd ??? cement block. I can't remember which is in that 300ft range.

6A-> Same as last year

18A-> Very similar to Prarie Open. Tee will be on the sidewalk.

18B-> The tee will be back near the practice basket. The temp basket will be located near inner loop road on the slope.

Also, if super long tee #8 is still under water the long tee will be played both rounds on the Adv/Pro day.

Mike has updated this map. You can get a good idea of what the alternate holes will play like on this map. Thanks Mike!

For IOS #1, I assume that there is a nice marsh in the woods on the left side of the fairway for 5. Last year I think this was casual water. This should be added to the notes for holes 5 (& maybe 6).  I would recommend this as a special conditions area with a drop zone as it is usually impractical to go back 5m on LOP.

One more to consider for IOS #1 Course information. This is a quote from Jon last year.

QuoteUntil Bruce told me about it later I wasn't even aware that a player could do manage to throw into that pipe even if they were trying! If we play that same basket placement next year, I will declare that inside the pipe is not the playing surface and that the player will mark on top of the ground without penalty--unless their disc has gone so far into the pipe as to be under the road. The road is OB so therefore when they mark above their disc would be OB. I will waste my time siting this incident at the player's meeting where no one pays attention and no one will ever throw in there again.

I have updated the attachments on the first post.

Updated accurate distances on the alternates.
On Saturday Adv/Pro will play short tee Rd 1 & long tee Rd 2. Super long is under water.
Also added sidewalk on #17 is OB.
Last year there was a freak shot that went into the culvert on hole #4. If that happens you will play your shot from the opening of the culvert with no penalty.
Water is casual on holes #5 & 6.

That would make the inside of the pipe a Chuck Kennedy Casual Relief Area!   ;D  I'm fine with that.  It is a more objective place to play from than trying to estimate how far into the pipe you are for vertical relief.  And the pipe is not an intended obstacle.  It is only a little wider than a disc.

Are Pro/Adv playing all the short tees for one round, or were you just talking about the short tee for hole 8?

Jon Brakel

I made Brett's sheet into one page for each day. Does anyone have access to cheap or free copies? It would be nice to have 110 of each to hand out at registration. I'll make a few in case any of the deaf guys make it up to this event. If anyone will make copies for us please post here so we don't kill too many trees! :)

Only short tee that is being played on Adv/Pro day is #8 since super long #8 is under water.

It would be really nice if the info was just on the flip side of the score card. Only need 44/day that way.

I think there quite a few players that would like to know the distance and OB on each hole. While putting the info on the back of each score card assures that each group can figure out routing, etc. it doesn't put the info in each hand of each person in the group on every hole.
