My band, E-Dog, is opening this Saturday April 14th at Mickey Finn's, located on Milwaukee Ave in downtown Libertyville.  We should be on around 9:30, and playing for about and hour.  Check us out!

Becky and I showed up to watch E-Dog at Mickey Finn's in Libertyville. We also wound up having a late dinner there before E-Dog went on (I highly recommend the Irish Eggrolls). They played a nice mix of "older" rock, "newer" rock and E-Dog originals. It was highly entertaining including the drunk girls on the dance floor. Becky and I were placing odds on how long before "something" came flying out of this one girl's blouse. Becky and I are not the rock dancing type. We sat in the back and clapped loudly.

It has been a long time since I've been to Mickey Finn's. The last time was probably in 1988. It seems very trendy now...especially upstairs. It used to be just a local watering hole to go after the softball game or whatever. I'm usually a little out of place at trendy places in the city but trendy places in Libertyville are OK.  ;) The smoke-free atmosphere was fabulous! The management could have been a little more organized. They booked the party in the room with the stage too long so E-Dog couldn't go on right at 9:30 and the people downstairs didn't even know that E-Dog was playing before Woogie. It was a relief to run into Doug upstairs after we paid our $7 cover since we just kind of paid it based on Doug's post. We probably would have stayed to see Woogie if we didn't have to pick up Maddisen before midnight...maybe next time.

But the music was fun and getting to see one of our club guys playing live was cool.

Thanks again for coming out Jon and Becky!  It was good to see some club faces in the crowd.  Glad you had a good time!
