Just joined your merry group today. I'm in Ohio and hoping to throw in your June 23rd tournament at Crystal Lake.  Whats the course there like?  I've been throwing about six years. Just started throwing in tournaments this year.  Great courses here in central Ohio.

Crystal Lake is flat.  There are a lot of trees and bushes that make for interesting holes.  There are a lot of deuceable holes and only two or three hard threes.  The hard threes would be harder for a rec player than a pro, naturally.  There is probably nothing a pro is going to think of as a hard three.

It is not a great course but it has always been one of our well attended tournaments.  Maybe it is because of the monsoons we always have there?  Bring an umbrella and maybe personal flotation devices.   ;D  Don't wear metal.

It's dry here in Ohio. We just established a new course twenty minutes from my home. I'm the course manager and its going to be one of the most beautiful courses in Ohio. And its tough. Our grand opening was last Saturday (May 26) and it was well attended. We had two previous world champions there; Lisa Warner and Johnny Sias.

Anyway, as I already said previously, my bride of twenty seven years and I are passing through your area on vacation and I'm hoping to bring bragging rights back home with me.  So I'm looking for the nicest motel close to the course. The Crystal Lake course that is.  Can someone help me?

If you want really nice accomodations, check out the bed and breakfasts in Woodstock.  You can find them using Google.  The Alexandria looks nice and seems appropriate somehow.  But it is expensive.

If your wife plays at all, she might enjoy playing trophy-only with the pro women.  Trophy-only pro is only $10 for pre-registered PDGA members.

The amateurs have a choice of a $15 funny money player pack or a $20 Discraft/DGA-only funny money player pack, just so you know.  Our Innova is priced at the high end of retail but our Discraft is priced a little below the low end.
