First of all, I'd like to thank you for having such a great site.

I was trying to find courses on some other site and they didn't even have a map! I lived in Elmhurst until I was eightteen and I never knew where Westchester was! How did they expect me to get a good idea what was around me when I don't have a map?

That being said, is it possible to put the location of the course in the popup? I think it would help newcomers. I've already gone through and clicked on all the courses by me. But they only came up with the name of the course. I then had to do a search for that course's site to locate what city it was in. Is it possible to make the name of the city show in the popup?

I'm not sure I understand.  The map shows the location of the course.  Double click on the map to center on that location then use the plus/minus tool in the upper left to zoom.  Depending on zoom level you can get city names, park names, street names, etc.  Click on satellite or hybrid to view satellite photo.  Again depending on zoom level and the photos available for that geographic area, you can even spot the first tee pad.

Use the Chicago Area or Illinois menu on the right side of the map to see a list of communities and courses.  Click on one to display the pop-up for that location.

Does this help?  I appreciate the feedback.

I think what he is trying to say is that if he clicks on a basket, it would be cool that not only does it say "Mayfair Park" but it rather it would say "Mayfair Park - Westchester, IL"  So it contains both park name and city name instead of looking up the park name in the list.

Yes, both of your replies are correct. I now see that I wasn't using the zoom and I should have. But I still think it would be cool to have the park name and town name come up together.

OK, I get it.  That idea has some cromulence, and has been implemented.  Thanks.

I went to M-W and there was nothing, please define cromulence.

Look for the city name directly under the course name.  If you don't see it, clear out your cache and refresh.

Cromulence?  You're showing your age, Tom! LOL  It's the noun form of the adjective cromulent meaning fine or acceptable.  It's from the Simpsons.  :D (At least that's what my kids tell me.  :icon_redface:)
