How come no "inciteful" analysis about the Bears play today?

Rex and the rest of the Bears played pretty well in the first half. Then the Bears' coaching staff inexplicably went away from what was working and started trying to jack the ball 50 yards down field and basically stuck a fork in the Bears' offense. I'll watch all the Bears' games that I can until the season is over. I still think that they will finish at .500 but it has been a pretty disappointing season. Sweeping the Pack will feel good though!

I was cooking most of the afternoon so I watched the entire game while chopping vegetables.

Well, there is no new insight  We can cite all the same reasons as before.  The team cannot run the ball.  The offensive line does a poor job of protecting the quarterback and of making holes for the average (at best) running backs.
The receivers drop lots of balls. The defense is porous.  They are easier to penetrate than an adult film star. The Giants played really lousy all day and still managed to win.  The only insight that I have is that we can stop blaming the quarterback for the team's ills.  He did more than enough to win the game.  The kicker is awsome.  His 43 yarder into the wind barely made it over the goal post but was hit like a bullet and straight as an arrow.  He must have been using a wickedly overstable disc to fight that wind. :D

Looking at the box scores this morning it is pretty clear that the Cowboys, Packers, and perhaps the Vikings are the only teams worth watching in the NFC.  All the rest of the teams are mediocre.  None of them are any better than the Bears.  Whichever of the pretenders makes a few plays or gets lucky will get into the playoffs so they can get killed the the aforementioned threesome.

I started watching the game while peeling tape off the Angry Cubs collection:

It was sad.  I enjoyed the Detroit game that was on before the Bears.  That was hilarious.

You chopped vegetables for 3 and a half hours? That's a lot of chopped veggies!! The highlight of the game at my house was my spicy orange cheese dip and blue corn chips!

Dave, refer to Brett's comments on the Packers Cowboys game. I thought the quotes made it pretty clear.

Yeah, yeah, Tom.  You were clear. It seemed that after the Bears lost a game the Giants desperately tried to give to them you were trying to incite the Bears fans with your insight in a season where the end (for us) is clearly in sight and the local fans have nothing to look forward to other than playing spoilers when the cheddar tribe comes to their site. ...ok enough...  Regarding the comments on the Packer thread- anything sounds like  whining coming from a Bears fan but it sure looked like the Packers got away from their game plan and paid for it. They looked awfully good on the first drive...hey Thursday's game sounds like Sundays game if you look at it that way. ;D

780AM beats the TV guys for most games. Someone needs to tell Griese that the bears are wearing the dark shirts today.  :P

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!! :wav:

Yes, go & lose. I hope the Bears start experimenting down the stretch and lose these last 3 games. Please draft some offensive players.

Maybe someone was listening... Orton to start on Monday vs. Minnesota. Now we can see if he should have been playing all season.
