Flyer attached. Course was really flooded on Sunday when I went down to Joliet, couldn't even play there was so much water. Good thing there'll be a few weeks to dry out.

Being that this is the 20th year, I'd definetly say Classic. Last Gary Lewis tournament of the year, unless he does a glow tournament this year. (fingers are crossed)

You can always send a check. Info & address for that is on the flyer. As long as you get there early you won't get turned away. Gary's tourneys are mostly day-of registration.

Is Channahon excessively flooded right now?  Either way I'll be there to orcify that mother next Sunday.

No, unless it changed drastically from a few weekends ago. Bug spray needed though!

Me & Mike will be out there at 9:30 am Tuesday for any other slackers that wish to join us. I'll also take course pics.

It was bone-dry last Saturday. Nice new slightly elevated basket for #4 (although there's still a short one set up that also sez #4, I imagine they'll take that down) and new teepads for most of the longs - and maybe all the shorts, now that I think about it. Maybe they've been there awhile, I hadn't been down there all year and the course looks better than ever. Bugs were minimal but spray is still a good idea.

I finally managed to lose my Worlds black Avenger along the right side of #9. After searching for the thing on two previous throws I decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore. Don't play Channahon alone if you can't keep it in the fairway...  :P

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Best advice ever. I don't know how much time I've wasted looking for discs there.

Anyone have directions for this course?  Community Park doesn't show up on Mapquest.  Thanks.

Exit 248 off I-55 (Rt 6, Joliet/Morris; you'll see the elegant "Manor Motel" on the left.) Turn left across the overpass, then left at the frontage road. go about half a mile and turn right at McClintock. Park will show up in a mile or so. There are two entrances, I always take the 2nd one.

These are just off the top of my head, someone else may have better details.

It'll show up on Google, but the directions take you through town. Same result though.

Just zoom in for street names.  You may need to re-center by double clicking right under the basket.

Does the 'long tee' on #6 actually get played from on Sunday? I managed to find one red brick for it and I'd never played it before. It's an interesting angle though.

If I'm counting correctly, then yea we played hole 6 from the "longs" last year. It's about 5 feet further but about 15 feet right correct?

yup.  that one doesn't have a teepad; the other longs that don't are 9 and 12, if I'm counting correctly. I think all the other ones do. (not all holes have long tees, of course.)
