I am running the Summer League down here this year and just wanted to let our northern friends know what we have planned. Not sure how many people would be able to make it down but I hoped that some players in between would be able to make at least one  night or so. Brett, I know you have family down here so if you ever make a trip hit us up!

BEST-SHOT RULES: Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), and then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed. A team may take a reasonable amount of time to pick which lie they want before the 30-second play clock starts. A lie that is picked up without being marked is gone forever; the team must throw from the other lie. If the second lie is picked up, it must be replaced in accordance with PDGA rules. All lies must be marked according to PDGA rules. If there are an odd number of people, the odd player out gets 9 extra shots for the round to be used at his or her convenience

WORST SHOT RULES: Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), and then the competing teams in the group choose which of the subsequent lies will be used, with the aim of making the hole as difficult as possible. Once one player on the team has holed out, the team has completed the hole. Marking lies are the same as above. If there are an odd number of people, the odd player out gets two shots from each lie and the opposing team chooses which lie will be more difficult.

Let us know if the Worst Shot format lasts longer than one week!   ;D  I'd be surprised.

Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment, but I think worst shot would be entertaining.

I'd definately get in on the California.  Imagine if you draw the partner who can't putt and doesn't know how to lay up?   >:( ;D >:( ;D

I am also interested in how worst shot will work out. Most people down here say it will be fun but we'll see when we play Eureka for worst shot!

Other players down here have also had comments about playing with people that are not at the same skill level. There is not really much I can do about that with doubles but hopefully everything will work out. If things need to be changed half way through the season then so be it.
