Man, I tell ya...  It's hard to find decent places around here (schaumburg) to buy discs.  Let me rephrase that, there's really nowhere to buy good quality discs.  It seems every I go around here, it's nothing but your basic plastic with no selection.  So I'm hoping this will be a way for all of us to find the disc selling hot spots.  Feel free to add any good or bad disc shops around the area.

The only great one I know of is in Elk Grove, right by Clark Park.  It's in the superior candy shop.  This dude has every type of plastic in different weights.  Oh yeah, & he'll hook you up with free candy treats while you're selecting your disc.
* Come to think of it, he might just stock INNOVA.  I can't remember; I throw INNOVA so that's all I look for.

Dicks sporting goods is terrible if you're looking for variety; the same goes for sports authority.

I do know that Tom Christiansen hooks up most of the places around here with discs.  If someone knows his email address, I'd love to get in contact with him.

I don't have Tom's information, but I can provide you with some info about some other people that don't have storefronts..

I'm based out of Algonquin, and I carry the full line of Innova (all plastic types), as well as Discraft, Gateway, and I also have some Quest.  About 1/3rd of my inventory you can see at www.paperorplasticsports.com and click through to see discs.  I'm spending this entire weekend listing hopefully at least 600 discs that came in from my last order.  Feel free to browse and send me an email at scott AT paperorplasticsports DOT com if you are interested in anything.

Jason is based out of Lake Bluff - he has Action Sportz Disc Golf on eBay.  It looks like he carries Innova and Discraft.

This club also has a limited amount of plastic.  Depending on what you're looking for they might be able to help you out as well.

Gary covers the Joliet area as far as I know, but I'm not sure if he just hooks up stores and gas stations down there or if he does more than that too.  I think he's mostly Innova.

Please do not buy discs from Tom or his stores. Support the guys who support the sport.

Check the PDGA Direcotry of events. During those weekends go to those events and check out the stock of discs.

Speaking of places to buy discs.

I was at Wal Mart yesterday. They had the Whamo Drive & Super Turn. I think they were $4.95.  Those things are hard as a rock.

Brett speaks the truth, as usual. One of the benefits of going to a tournament to pick up plastic is that they'll have so much more plastic than any store I've ever been to or heard about in our area.

There's the Aurora tournament coming up in a couple of weeks, or if you want something closer at the end of the month I'll be set up at a tournament at Goose Lake Park in Roselle.

There isnt much, but over in Grayslake I go to Ace Hardware.  They at least have some INNOVA, thats what I have bought there and a few random brands too, but thats all I have really found in the area.  If there are any other places close by that would be good.

Hey Kent,

The Walgreens across from the Candy shop by Clark Park (Corner or Meachum & Biesterfield) also carries discs. They have about 150-200 random Innova and Discraft discs. Just thought I'd let you know.
