In the past I have posted in Shoot the Breeze.  It seems more like a pick up game so I chose Pickup Games.

I posted the following to the Listerv at the Evanston Bike Club, www.evanstonbikeclub.org

I am sending a reminder for  the Disc Golf Ride.   We will leave Chandler and take an easy pace up to Watts Park in Glencoe.  This park is on our normal club route from the Green Bay Trail to downtown Glencoe.  If the group is interested we can ride up to Fink Park  which is off of Clavey Rd. and play a second park. Both are 9 hole courses.

I will bring a crate of discs so you can have a golf disc to use. If you desire, I can buy a disc for you as I will be at a tournament this weekend, July 19 and 20.  I would suggest either a putter or midrange if you are going to  just get one disc.  e-mail me if you want a disc.

If you have never played, don't worry.  Disc golf is a lot like biking. Its very easy to get started and very hard to be proficient.  If you like to throw things come along for the adventure.  The only danger involved in this ride is the danger of addiction.  When scouting the route for this ride a few years ago I caught the bug of disc golf addiction and it has meant that I have been riding a lot less miles these days.

The ride will be an easy ride of about 10-12 mph for  about 15 miles, 25 if we go to Fink.  Chandler Center is on Central St. in Evanston right by Evanston Hospital and the Central Street L stop.  The ride will leave at 9am from Chandler on Saturedy, August 2..
