Is the tee-off time wrong: (taken from the webpage)

Check-in/Registration: 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Player's Meeting: 8:45 am
Tee-off 9:30 am

Other than that, nice webpage!  Hope to make it.

Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

SERG

Tee time is correct.
Depending on number of registrations the morning of the event we may be able to move a little earlier.

Current plans are to have the second round tee assignments posted by X:XX and then tee off at X:XX (no player's meeting). Times will be posted/given at the morning meeting.

I wanted to also publicly express a huge THANK YOU to 1000rated.com for doing the website. Anyone running an event and looking for a web presence should contact the designer, Brian G.

Is the only course being used for the Prairie Open the revised original course? The course be the police station is not being used?

Look'n forward to this one ;D

Wow the site looks like quite an overhaul! Good stuff. 1000 rated is making some waves lately getting their name out, should be cool to see what they can do!

Just signed up.  Little expensive, but I'm sure it will be well worth it!

Can't wait to get back to Kenosha!

I loved this tourney last year great event.  but why is the price so high... 52 bucks for advanced is more then most a-tiers?

It is an expensive course to run tournaments on. When we were pricing the Rockford A tier, $50 was pretty much the lowest end for A tier entry fees.

I don't have any association with this tournament but I was curious myself so I looked up all the B tiers for that weekend and have listed all the entry fees for Advanced for those that were advertising prices online.

Flying Pig - $45
A Call to Arms - $45
Georgia State DGC - $50
Jersey Jam - $40
Lava launch - $75
Skeeter Heater - $45
Southern Idaho Championships - $50
Tumbleweed Open - $65 (PLUS $35 in greens fees!)

In respect to what other people are doing around the country, $50 is a competitive entry fee. I'm not trying to defend their pricing or attack their pricing. I'm just pointing out the comparison.

good facts.. i wonder, the more the sport grows if the entry fees are going to keep rising.. that might push people away from going to alot of tourneys..

I think that would be a great topic for a new thread.

Played the course yesterday and it is looking GREAT!!!!! Those guys have been doing a ton of work up there. Some things that stuck out to me was all the new mulch throughout the course, all tee signs are now correct, the semi-elevated tee on hole #10 is sweet and must of took a lot of work, clearing on hole #12 was done so the basket is now visable from the tee, cement tees were moved so all the holes have cement tees, and hole #13 is totally changed from the last time I played it (about two weeks ago) it is now a long tight tunnel shot that fades to the right at the end it takes a nice placement shot to even have a chance at a three. I shot a 55 from the longs which did'nt feel to good. I would be very happy with a 50 or 51.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to miss this one again this year. I had an ingrown nail on my big toe removed today so I'm MIA/DL for the next couple of weeks. Hope to make Rockford though.

I broke the nail the Saturday I got to Worlds, but it's not the reason I shot so badly....  :P

thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

I had both of my big toes and both sides of each one operated on a few years ago. It took me about two weeks before I could play again. I wish I had had it done 15 years ago.

COURSE IS CURRENTLY IN TOURNAMENT FORMAT
There will be two added holes after hole #18. Hole #18 will also be played in "reverse." It will not be exactly in reverse but to keep the flow of the course we will throw from near the basket toward the section where the sidewalks meet, 270 feet. The first temp hole, #19, will play about 260 feet with OB sidewalk on right and OB tall grass on left (yellow rope). The second temp hole, #20, will play from the corner of the construction area to the 5th concrete square towards #1 (formerly #5). This hole plays 485 feet and has OB on the left (road) and OB on the right (sidewalk). Holes will be flagged on Friday morning.

Entry fees are the suggested NET fees given by the PDGA. They explain to add any other club, course, etc fees on top of this fee. As a Wisconsin Tour event there are fees per player paid to the tour. PDGA also has fee to be paid per player. This information is explained on the Prairie Open web site. We do our best to keep those fees SEPARATE of your entry fees and pay it through sponsorship. Therefore, your payout shows more of what was actually paid rather than taken out to pay fees. As Jon aslo mentioned, unfortunately it isn't cheap to rent the course. The course is closed and we have access to indoor facilities.

I'd be happy to entertain questions.

Anyone shooting below 50 probably will be doing really well, especially with 2 extra holes.
When I saw the course 2 weeks ago, it was rough but challenging.
Now, with more cleaned up, I think the new layout is gonna be very sweet.

I don't mind a higher entry fee occasionally, especially at Parkside.
This event is run smoothly, the course is always well maintained, and the student union usually available for tourneys.

This week is dragging by!  I can't wait to play Kenosha!  I think I've played more tourney rounds at Kenosha than any other course.

Serg- Remind me I've got something for you.

Thanks to all the Kenosha people for the hard work you put into the course!

Great tourney... There was no negatives about this tourney, just like last year... This tourney was prolly in the top three best tourneys of the year for me out of the 30 so far.... great job... and i like the new holes they fit my game well.....
