If you had time for a night round and two day rounds @ High Bridge, which course(s) would you play?

I haven't played the Gold course or the lighted 9 hole, but I like Blueberry, Woodlands, Granite, in that order.

P.S. If pressed for time you might want to try to reserve the go cart/golf cart. Could seriously cut down on your course time. But I think you can't use it on all of the courses.

I would have to put Blueberry at the top of my list as well. This course is a definate must.  Then after that I would hit up Gold, followed by Granite Ridge. The nine hole glow course is a lot of fun and located right by the camping area. If you have the time, hit it up.
Last time I was there, they had a basket in the bar there in town and we were playing putting games for drinks. If you feel saucey, hit up there as well.... good times.
Also, if you don't want to throw a round, there is a state park just south called Copper Falls. Pretty cool scenery there for a 1-2 hour hike.

no, we're stopping at high bridge specifically for disc golf. it was there or Sandy Point on the way home and we've been to Sandy Point several times. Onsite camping was a definite help in deciding where to go.

Be careful night golfing up there. I saw some bears up there at the Pro Worlds in town & at the course.
During the competition a bear got too close to some of the players and the guy had to shoot his gun at it to scare it away.
If your going to night golf, pack some heat or bring some M-80's & keep them in your pocket.

I don't doubt it. This trip is starting way up in bear country in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area so hopefully we won't have any Yogi encounters the entire trip.

I spent two weeks on a canoe trip in the 8th grade in the boundary waters. We saw several moose but never did see a bear.

[drift]I have seen bears in Boundary Waters.  Many times.  I have chased them away, and I have had food stolen by them.  I'd rather face the bears than the mosquitoes when they are bad.

Not a bear story, but back in the '70s a friend and I paddled the Hunter's Island route which is basically a large (128 mile) loop that takes you as far north as Sturgeon Lake.  We had run several rapids on the trip and had our eye on a particular rapid on the Malign River.  When we got there, however, search parties were scouring the rapid for the body of a canoeist who was lost there the previous day.  Needless to say, we portaged that particular rapid.  About two hours downstream we spotted the body hung up in some branches still a little further downstream from where we were.  As we approached the body, more than a little freaked out, we tried to figure out what to do.  It would be very difficult to cart the body back upstream to where the searchers were so we scratched that idea.  We could go back without the body, but we didn't want to leave the body alone.  One person couldn't really get back upstream by himself.  In the end, we decided to recover the body and transport it down to the Indian reservation on the north side of Lac La Croix.  That settled, we finally approached the body ... only to find it was a log.[/drift]

I really enjoyed Woodlands at Highbridge.  I've said it before, but the tree gnomes are cool.  As is the infamous basket in the tree trunks.

I do have to agree with you that the tree basket is pretty cool. Man, that entire place is fricken awesome.

Also, the campsites there are great. The night we stayed there was the weekend before Mid Nats in '05 and there was a huge gaterheing there. Thank God the fire pits were as big as a car  cause some of those campfires were huge! Each site is really private as well even though they are close to each other. The trees are thick enough to hide every site from one another. In fact, I got so drunk that night I could not find the campsite and had to ask these other fellow campers to help me find my site. BTW it was direclty across the road from the site we were partying at!  :D

Agreed about the campsites and privacy even though they're pretty close to each other. Still, it was a shock after having spent the previous week camping on private islands and other places to have another group of campers practically on top of us.

The fire pits were certainly huge. It was nice to be able to build a bonfire.

We played Blueberry yesterday. It was okay..... Not bad, not overwhelmingly awesome either. The round was right at midday so by the end we were all pretty hot and tired so we decided to break camp and head home, which was a good thing seeing how I got home at midnight last night.
Hopefully next time we'll have time to stop through and see more of the courses.

Drove by Sandy Point on the way home, almost stopped in to say hi to the Cozzens...
