Played there this morning.

Mostly between 180 and 220 with relatively open throwing lanes.

Hole 4 is 290 and Hole 6 is 270 those are two "par 4's".

Really nicely built up tee pads with rubber pads and nice tee signs.

Great kids course, or great beginner course, or great course to bring your coffee and three
discs and warm up before you play Mokena.

Steve did an awesome job with the tee pads! The tee signs are sweet and all of them have a garbage can. Another great example of what every park should have.

The park is not big and it's definitely a beginner course. Dan & I have never had an ace or perfect round on any of our course tours. I nearly ended the ace streak on #2. Hit right side top of the bin and skipped off. Made the biggest putt of the round on that hole. Went on to 2 all 9 holes for a perfect round.

Didn't they do a great job? Orland Park's crews do nice work.
I had a meeting w/ their event coordinator on Sept. 11th and
saw the crew landscape the entire area around the course map
during the 1/2 hour meeting. It appeared from nowhere! If I had
one concern it would be about the raised nature of the tees.
They're a tad too high above grade. I had kinda coached the
foreman of the crew about keeping the tees at about an inch to an
inch-and-a-half above grade, but they seem to have a retaining wall
theme going on instead. Not much of an issue, however, as the
course is pretty short and the tees are sufficient for a run up by
the majority of players. How about the decorative stone, trash cans
and plantings on every tee? Classy! The same style of tee signs as
Woodridge, too. They availed 300-400 trees for the course that were
donated to the Parks Department by a nursery who lost their site to
the 355 to I-80 extension. The western 2/3 of the park was pretty
barren this spring. The tees, baskets and plantings changed the entire
look of the park. It used to be run down and a haven for ne'er-do-wells.
Disc golf really turned-around the park. I have hopes for the course
being just a beginning. During an early walk-around, the Parks and
Recreation Department director spoke of the possibility of 2 more
courses if Doogan Park was a success. 2 more EIGHTEEN HOLE
courses!! The DG community needs to nurture this seedling. Letters
to the board, emails and phone calls expressing thanks are in order.
Orland Park prides itself as being "The World's Golf Center". I'd like
to see them become the "World's DISC Golf Center" as well......

wow, this is practically walking distance from where I set up merch at the Civic Center in Orland Park earlier this year.  I guess I was a little early   I don't think I'd set up discs again at the shows though - I didn't really have ANYBODY interested in what I had for sale.

Is your pricing friendly? Golf disc prices are a bit scary to the entry-level player.
I've already got the ball rolling for the Parks Department to establish a pro shop.
They're quite interested in sticking their toe in the water with golf activities in
their programs calendar next year. I spoke w/ Phil, just this afternoon, and he
seems interested in running with it. I'll introduce him the the movers and shakers
this Saturday. Gary as well. Orland Park, like Woodridge, is a disc golf seedling
we're going to give all the nurturing we can give.

My pricing is some of the most competitive out there, and I'm sure plenty of people would agree that they are more than fair   I think it would have been different if I was at a flea market or something instead of at a sports card show - although it was extremely nice to be INDOORS and selling plastic instead of in the buckets of rain like at Oswego!
