It has now been fixed, but earlier this morning the PDGA front page was replaced with an image of the Linux penguin carrying two assault rifles on a black background, along with some related text.  Thankfully the haxx0rs were not particularly malicious and left the rest of the site, and evidently the admin password, intact.

i cant even get on pdga.com right now, it must be down. someone on www.discgolfersr.us was saying something about penguins and rap music on the pdga homepage this morning.

It was a typical calling card defacement this morning. My hunch is they pulled the net plug for now.

I don't see the typo...maybe they fixed it or maybe I'm blind.

What language is that?  I went to the website, www.web4sec.org and its a bulletin board and seems to have something to do with security.  I think its eastern European but am not sure.Maybe its the message board for PUTT, Perfect Uzbekistan Throwing Team, a local disc golf club.

The typo was corrected soon after the post. "Please" was spelled "plese". Nothing major.

Yes, unfortunately, our server was compromised multiple times in the last month. The timing sucks, as it has been happening just as we're trying to finish and launch the new website.

At this point, there is too much risk and effort in trying to bring the old site back up, so we are scrambling to get the new one online. Unfortunately, we're going to have to launch it with a lot of stuff missing, and we'll be hustling to fill in the missing pieces quickly.

Hopefully, the disc golf community will understand and support our efforts, and not just complain.

complaints will always come from those who haven't a clue what it takes to get a site up and runnning.

How long does it take to get a site up and running?

If the site has already been beta tested on the developmental server for months, shouldn't the actual transition take like a day or two?

It's been six days now.   :sad3:

It takes a ton of time to re haul a site like that...

That database has to be a nightmare, patience....
