I think we had the Club meeting at Wayne's pizza near the Warren Township course once.  I think this is a good location.  I plan to go.

That is the location I had in mind. Has a side room and it's pretty slow. I just need to make sure they are open on Monday's. I'm almost positve they are.

Hole 6 at Bevier?

roman

I think so. Brett has been wanting to make an alternate pin position on 6 on one of those mounds around the basket.

Hole 6 at Bevier?

Yes, I was thinking a shorter placement on the mound to the right. It could be moved every couple of months and especially in the winter.

The pizza sounds good but its 50 miles from the loop.  I cannot make it.  I vote yes on whatever is on the floor.  I  hope that Tom or whoever posts the minutes so we can all see what will happen next year.

I might be a tad late - I have no idea.  It all depends on if I have to pick my car up from the shop tonight or if I'm keeping the rental overnight.  Even then I still might be a little late!  It's an hour trip for me.

Topics

1. Financials

Attached is the file for financials.
You must login to view attachments.
Along with those #'s the club owns 6 portable baskets and 6 tee pads valued approximately $1700.

2. 2009 Club elections. (Nominations)

Below are the nominations so far. An online area will be opened to take any other nominations. Elections will be held at the next club meeting and online.
President-Brett Comincioli
Vice President-Mike Clark
Treasurer-Tom McManus
Secretary-Tom Schodtler
Webmaster-Allan Short

3. Bag Tags 2009 (Design)--Pencil order w/tags? / Memberships & info.

It was decided to stick with the same mini's for bag tags. A design will be determined ASAP.

Another order to pencils will be placed depending on the cost/qty. Another company?

$15.00 Fee will stay the same. All member benefits will stay the same but the Worlds party will be replaced with a club picnic (See Below)

4. Winter League-Tom McManus-Rotating 3 course league. Release of schedule.

Tom will be posting the information and schedule soon. Courses include Libertyville, Grayslake, and Gurnee. Tee Pads will be shoveled. We are hoping this draws some interest to increase turnout this winter.

5. Spring/Summer/Fall League 2009?

Tom S. said he was interested in keeping the 2009 League going at Waukegan. Mirth IM'd and said he will help as well.

6. 2009 Club challenge--Tom McManus  (Streamwood/Bartlett?)

Tom M. is planning this event. Sunday in March at Streamwood & Bartlett. Possible format tweaks. Possibly getting Streamwood Disc Golfers Union involved.

7. 2009 Club invitational--Mike Krupicka?

No one was interested in stepping up the run the invitational. Mike e-mailed saying he would do it again in 2009. We will try to continue this event and keep it on a Friday.

8. Tentative 2009 IOS Date & Location release.

Very tentative.
May 2/3 IOS #1 @ Lombard
June 6/7 IOS #2 @ Crystal Lake
August 15/16 IOS #3 @ Mokena
September 12/13 IOS #4 @ Round Lake

9. Rockford A-Tier sponsorship?

Brett had contacted the Rockford Convention and Visitors Bureau about sponsorship. They were not able to give cash to support the purse needed. Brett, Bruce, Jon found it too difficult/stressful to raise the $4000 needed for the lunch and pro purse. It was discussed that DISContinuum would add $1000 to the A-Tier. Where is the other $3000 going to come from? It looks like there will be no A-Tier in Rockford. DISContinuum is looking at purchasing the naming rights to make Mokena a Pro B-Tier.

10. DISContinuum Store Online registration for 2009 IOS?

Tom & Brett said they would keep this going for 2009.

11. Order of anchor assembly for hole 6. 2nd pin position.  $22 + S&H.

It was discussed to order 2 to 3 of these to add to Bevier. One going in on #6 the other on #17. Possibly a 3rd to save on shipping and use at a later date.

12. Others?

Adrian Sr said he would be willing to help with a similar deal with club merch in 2009 to generate Income for the club.

Mike Clark and Brett are interested in getting an official petition going for the Lake County Forest Preserve. The goal would be go get 10,000 signatures of 18 or older residents in Lake County. These would be delivered to the LCFPD. The club would rent a picnic area at one of the local forest preserves and set up a 9 hole disc golf course. This would be a club picnic/disc (food served). All LCFPD members would be officially invited.

Brett announced he is going to run Sinnissippi again in 2009.

He also has been in contact with Libertyville Park District and will be hosting the Chicago Am Championships pending final approval of date. 2 rounds of 20 holes (11 Temps) 1 day.  4 divisions--Am 1,2,3, & 4. Date TBA. Scott Pitner of Paper or Plastic Sports will be the merch man.

Jon Brakel

I'm glad you were able to get a tournament in there with added baskets. Probably a year or two before we did the first Illinois Open Bruce and I tried to get approval for an 18 hole tournament but they would not even discuss the topic of adding temp holes.

I tthink this would be a great idea. I'd imagine getting help/participation from us wouldn't be too hard.
