Does anyone know where i can get information on how to stamp my own disk? I keep seeing images/pictures that i would love to put on a disc, for instance the ThunderCats panther logo would look sweet and retains that sentimental value for any kid growin up with that cartoon. Thanks. G-Man

If you want to get 100 stamped and it is artwork you own, Innova and Discraft have their deals on their website.  Otherwise, you have to go with dying them.  I do custom dyes but I have not aeen what you want done.

I've been told that Gateway will put any art on a disc, however it has to be one of their molds...

Their techniques are similar to mine.  I use masking vinyl rather than sign vinyl because masking vinyl comes off clean when you are done.  Also, I paint the dye on rather than dipping the disc, mostly for the reasons they mention, but also because I can prepare less dye at a time.  For star and esp plastic you don't really need heat if you can let it sit for 48 hours.  When I heat the disc, 170 degrees for ten minutes has always been safe.  I use a digital electric oven.

Where's a good place to get masking vinyl?  I've been using contact paper with medium adhesion & it still leaves a decent amount of residue.  But my limited experience has been with the stovetop method & works good, just make sure you let the dye cool enough so it doesnt peel your stencil back... not fun.  Great video though.  I make up a decent sized batch of dye & then just store it in the fridge in cheap rubbermaid /glad containers.

If you are relocated in Michigan now, Suzanne at More Than Signs in Waterford can get it for you.  Just tell her you want what "Frisbee Guy Bruce" is using.

And if you're in michigan now, I still have those two discs you wanted.
