The new (east) course is a great addition.  Lots of fun and challenge.  All shots save one are in the woods, with elevation galore.  Not championship length, but it'll work your legs and game nonetheless.  10 ft. square concrete tees, Mach III baskets.  Stairs and bridges in strategic locations (including stairs down into ravine, even though you don't want to go there).  Some nice, creative holes.  Maybe a few too many downhill shots (3) to baskets just across the ravine.  Hole ten should move the basket to the tee side of the ravine for pucker factor IMO.  Minor complaint, though.  This park is worth a trip.  Don't even try it on a wet day, however.

Glad you enjoyed the course but please remember that the course is still under construction.  Many of the holes are in the short location because the alternate placements are currently under a bunch of downed trees.  there is still lots to be done to the course but it is very fun to play in the current layout and if you play with the ravines being ob it becomes a bit more challenging

are you talking about camden 2? cause camden 1 is fully playable with no problems, but camden 2 just opened this year and was totally destroyed by a storm the day after opening. chris sprauge has spent many hours making the park somewhat playable. next spring it should be finished and will be twice as difficult. just be patient and good times shall come.

Yeah i meant camden 2, and it is actually fully playable right now.  the layout now is mostly short pins though because of that storm you were talking about.  chris has done a great job of making the course playble again since that event with the help of several other dedicated disc golfers.  the plan is to have the alternate pins cleared and ready to play by spring.

I look forward to playing it when complete.  As you say, it is fully playable now and I emphasize that it's lots of fun.  Actually plays a little easier than it looks.  Love the log wall on #2, and the way #4 plays down the slope of the valley and then follows another 200' or so to the right along the ravine.  Are all the ribbons on the trees survey markers, or are those trees slated to be removed?  I hope not the latter.

I got a chance to play Camden 1 & 2 today. Wind was 20mph+ all day.

Camden 1
This is a fun course with a wide variety of holes. Solid elevation changes and water comes into play. The wooded section reminded me of Coldbrook in Kalamazoo, MI.  Good tee signs and nice tee pads.

Camden 2
WOW! The amount of work that has gone into the course is unbelievable.  It's playable but there is still quite a bit of work to do. The course has arrows which helped a lot with navigation. I saw several holes with short placements but the baskets were placed in long positions. Tee signs have yet to be installed. Every hole on this course plays in the woods. The tee pads are very interesting. They are super big squares. If you want to get in shape this is the place to go. This is excellent hiking terrain. You are up and down all day. There are many areas where you can land that can be difficult to get to your disc. This course is very difficult. If you cannot throw straight or understand how placement golf works you are in for a very long round of golf.
