We are looking for a design for a new hotstamp for a club disc for Discontinuum.  We have two requirements: It must contain Discontinuum Disc Golf Club and Diiscontinuum.org.  This design will be used on discs we are planning to order this year. It will go on regular stock and it may go on CFRs.  We are looking for something professional and in good taste.

Please send submittals to: President@discontinuum.org or treasurer@discontinuum.org .

At a minimum the winning artist will win 3 new discs.

Any questions post them here.

why would you want diiscontinuum.org on it? :)  just kiddin, you should have a design from me by tomorrow.. unless I get motivated enough to finish it tonight.

Edit - Got bored, just sent it over. Might also look cool as a mini stamp on a CFR disc.  cough, cough... Glow Wraiths, Firebirds cough... :)

just and FYI on the glow wraith and firebird comment - the last time I placed a custom order Innova was not offering Glo Champ Wraiths, and their Glow Champ Firebirds were FL's, not the regular Firebird.  Things have probably changed since then, but you might be waiting a while for those types of CFR discs :)

Tom - there's no requirements like needing to have a current year or anything on it, is there?  Will the officers select the winning entry or narrow it down to a few finalists and allow members to vote?  Finally - any set deadlines for the entries?

Scott,

We would like entries by February 20 so we can place orders by March 1.  I think we want to stay away from having a year on the disc.  We would like something that could be used for an extended period of time.  A great example of a design for a club disc is the Springfield Disc Golf Club design.

We hadn't thought that far in advance about having members vote. I think it will be dependent upon how many entries we receive.

The 2009 on my design means "Illinois" :)

so what did you guys end up using for the design? did anyone have any positive (or negative i guess, constructive criticism is always good) remarks on my design?  the swirl inspired hot stamp friendly one :)

Sorry about no reply here. I missed this post and I got a little behind on this project. The Board of Directors look at all the submissions tonight. There were 7 of them. We each secretly ranked them and came up with a top 3. Mirth will be posting an election with all 3 in the next day or so. Hopefully we'll have an order of discs later this month.
