Here is some basic info for the Janesville Jammer which is in fact a PDGA B-Tier and the 3rd stop on the Prestigious Wisconsin Disc Golf Tour.  That means above all, you are playing for the "most coveted" black disc!

It will have similar details to the Greater Milwaukee Open so that's why the attached flyer fits for both events.  Online reg for the GMO will be up shortly.  Otherwise - save yourself a few bucks and mail in.  That's cool too!

I was hoping that you would run the Janesville event divisions opposite of the IOS events divisions.

Fun course, I hope to make it back up there sometime soon!
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

The only thing I can think of when I hear Janesville is the sound of my putter hitting the ground after making a putt. Did the course get upgraded to new baskets in the past year?

Unfortunately the baskets have not all been upgraded YET.  Last year they decided to invest some money into planting more grass and doing a few other improvements to the course.  However, that does not mean that they were able to upgrade the baskets, YET.

They have the basket replacement as a line item but it will not happen prior to the event this year.  I was thinking about double checking the anchor size on baskets because if the anchors were in fact the right size, maybe we could bring in temp baskets and put them there for the weekend?  That was one thought but it might be far fetched.

Please remember, it has taken them quite some time to finally embrace the idea that that have a truly awesome course.  It's just too bad that replacing existing baskets doesn't rank higher in their budget.  Then again, I can understand why.

Good news is ... everyone has to putt on the same baskets - as good or bad as they might be.

For the 4th year in a row there will be an event at Lustig Park in Janesville, WI.  Truly one of Wisconsin's hidden gems of a course.  This is a stop on the Prestigious Wisconsin Tour and BLACK DISCS WILL BE ON THE LINE.

Some basics are as follows:

PDGA B-Tier
WI Tour Event
Lustig Park

100% + payout in all divisions.

Custom Stamped Discs!

Special Contests for anyone who plays both days.

It feels like Deja-Vu here.  No, I'm not talking about the gentleman's club chain found once crossing the Michigan State lines.

Just a day ago I was sitting on a handful of registrations and just like that - Ka-Blam - a bunch start pouring in either online, in person, or in the mail.

I just got another one while typing this update.  Here are links to the registration lists for both days.  Please get signed up one way or another.  I don't care if you don't do it online, just get it done some how and do it soon so you don't get turned away like some guys did at the Cold Turkey III and the Parkside of the Moon!

Have you seen the weather forecast for this weekend?  63 and sunny!  Not too bad.

We are doing pretty good for pre-registrations.  Over 50 for Saturday and around 30 for Sunday.

Custom stamped discs arrived today.  We'll just say they will be something different from what you're used to.  Different and new.

We'll also have the option to sign up for lunch in the morning.  We realize there aren't a ton of places really close for lunch so you can pay in the morning and it will be sitting there when you show up after round 1.  You can spend that extra time putting or just enjoying the sun.

Looking forward to a great weekend of disc golf in Janesville.

Thanks Terry for another great event.  Lustig Park has come along way in the last few years.  It is not a super challenging course but it is a lot of fun.  There are great tee signs and huge concrete pads.  A lot of time has gone into this course.  Parts of this course remind me of Rum Village in South Bend and Douglas Park in Springfield.  It is a beautiful hilly park full of huge oaks that runs along the Rock River.

As far as the tourney, as usual it was very well run, and we had an option of a $7.00 sub lunch with chips, cookie, and a drink.  It was a good deal.  The Greater Milwaukee Open is coming up quickly.
