This might not be in the right place, maybe it should have gone in "Shoot the Breeze".  But at any rate, here goes...

I recently (over New Year's) had the opportunity to play in Castle Hayne Park in Wilmington, North Carolina.  While a nice course (with some seriously "different" holes), it was the only one in the area.   No cement teepads, some local sponsors, that was 'bout it.

Sometimes I wonder if we (all of us) realize how lucky "we" are.  The sport of disc golf is getting more recognition and it is getting bigger and bigger.  And here in the mid-west, between 6 states, WI, IL, MI, IN, MN, and IA, we have over 300 courses to take advantage of (according to the PDGA Course Directory).  And where are we?  Chicago-Milwaukee area is just about dead center of them all.

Granted, if it weren't for that big lake next door, some 50+ would be a whole lot closer, but still...despite the cold, this place ain't so bad.  :)

Myself and a few others will be out at Bevier Saturday for practice before the Fun Ice Bowl.  I hope to see some of you out there!  (but not too many, I'm hoping to get a few rounds in).  ;)

So did I.........

Some thing about 25mph winds making the wind chill -5 degrees. If we get THAT kind of weather for the Ice Bowl, we might set a record!

I took a 6 once on hole 9 at Bevier acctually it was during the safari series :-)

I took a 6 there as well during the safari series.
