I believe McCabe just shot a 42.  Looks like he only missed 3 holes.  Appears to be tied for the lead as well.  Has to be close to a 1100 rated round.

mccabe 42!  3 way tie. feldberg 1 back.  1 day left.  final 9 will decide it.

If you look at it based on the other top scores, he really only missed two holes that were attainable. Blue kicked my butt and those guys make it look like a deuce or die course.

Rico 41!  Jesus.  That is ridiculous. 1088 rated. He put himself back to within 5 shots of the lead.  He probably needs to throw up at least a 44 tomorrow on Blue if he is going to have a chance to make the final 4.

Seegert with a 46 is in 36th place and will be playing tomorrow.

it'd be really interesting to see Rico's card in comparison to McCabe. McCabe deuced 18 Blue!?  :o I'm guessing it had to be a roller or a really greasy upshot that went in. Unless it's less dense than I remember.

Have there been any deuces on 6 or 10 Blue this week?
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

18 Blue is an incredible deuce.  I would bet it was just an airshot down the gut though.  I've seen this done at the Homie event before and I know Brett has told me he's seen 2 guys on his card deuce it during tournaments there before.  It is doable and I'm sure all those guys on the top 4 cards at Worlds are thinking deuce when they step to the tee.  Its still a solid hole.

Affter watching the Live Scoring of the top 2 cards all week, there are several holes out there on Blue which seem to be making no difference between the top Pros.  They all get 3's on 4, they all get 3's on 6.  Also, they all pretty much get 2's on 1, 16, and 17.  There is almost no point in those guys playing those 5 holes other than the fact that they do pick up strokes on lesser players (such as myself) on those types of holes.  This fact is contributing to the extremely tight bunching of scores.  Along with the fact that nobody seems to be streaking multiple hot rounds together to pull away.  Perhaps McCabe will change that tomorrow morning and seize control of the championship.  I wonder what the Final 9 holes are going to be?  Hopefully they offer more of a challenge and score separation for these guys.  Everybody likes to see close competition, but its not as much fun when they are all just getting the same scores on every hole.

I am looking forward to seeing the finals 2m!

I watched a few of the last open groups on Blue 18:
Schultz, Climo, Owens, Leiviska, McCabe, Rico, Brinster all deuced it.
One group had 3 of the 4 deuce.

The day Brett was talkng about Nikko he proceeded to come to Blue 15 and throw every disc in his bag to the basket! Definitely one of the best putters I've seen this week.

Blue 18 has changed a little over the years. The really cleaned the schule on the sides opening it up a little. Each round my card had one 2 on that hole. It's still a very difficult hole. Those top guys are playing a different game. #4 and #8 are in the short positions and very 2'able. A perfect round would be a 39 unless there was a throw in on  6, 10, or 14.

After the rounds today a group of 12 of us played some random draw doubles on the red course playing the same out of bounds. The winning score was a -10 and 2 groups tied at -7 for 2nd place. It's just sick that these top guys go throw up the numbers they do.

This week was a very difficult week. This is the first time that i've ever considered walking off the course. After 3 holes on red in the afternoon I blew up and started to consider it. On hole #10 I hit a tree going into the basket for an easy tap in 3. I was not very far away anyway and missed the putt badly.  I was within 8 feet of the pin on #11 for 2 and ended up taking a 4. It was flat out ugly. I have never DNF'd and glad I stuck it out. After hole #11 I packed away the putter. I finished the round putting with the eagle.

Started on hole #8 on Blue in the morning and Red #9 in the afternoon.

I just went to pdga.com to see what was going on with the semis and my virus protection alerted me that something was viral with the website and suggested that I not go there.  Is my software being overprotective or is something wrong with pdga?

whatever.  I am now in and there was no warning.  Maybe Stan is the key.  Feldberg seems relentless.

Eric McCabe with a 3 stroke lead going into the Finals. Can Feldberg catch him??

My guess would be NO!!

Rule #1 in disc golf. There is no big $ to be won in this game.

In recent years the $6000 Felberg won is the biggest payout at a worlds in the last 5.

Stan the Blue Man

Just got home from Worlds and it was an incredible experience I was able to watch Feldberg all week and get a lesson from him.  And also watching Ken Climo, Eric McCabe, Steve Rico, Barry Schultz, Matt Orum, Josh Anthon, Paul Ulibarri, and Nikko Locastro.   in person.  If anyone is wondering Feldberg's bag had 39 discs and he use 30 of em and that is crazy.  He(Feldberg) is also super nice guy.  He was asking if I am coming down to Cali next year for worlds but as of right now I am not sure.

Brain Cummings, Red Roc, & Crew did an awesome job this week. There were spotters on holes that really did not need a spotter. Water was everywhere on the course. Of the 5 worlds that i've been to this is the best venue for a Worlds. Lemon Lake is a pretty awesome facility which had plenty of parking, restroom facilities, and food.

I just wanted to say a couple of things about the Lemon Lake Worlds...
I heard some moaning by the pros about the gold course being a "poke and a hope".
I heard some moaning about some spotters "not being there". I heard minor moaning about lots of things...
BUT...this was my fifth worlds and I thought it ran SOOOO welll! Brian and the Red Roc crew did a great job!!!
There was COLD water everywhere, spotters everywhere, all the courses in ONE park, and food available between rounds right in the park. I told Wilbur, EBZ, Brian, Old Man and Ma Wallis, Mike Triumph, Pat McFarland, Guy Griner and any other Red Roc member that despite any whinings that they did an incredible job. To host 310 disc golfers is a logistical nightmare.
I caddied for my nephew Eric all week and got to see the best disc golfers at their best. I learned a ton and hope everyone had a good time out at Lemon. Congrats to all the Champs and anyone else that had any experience out there. It was great.
