Hey all, just in case any of you ever get out to Prescott, AZ, which is about an hour north of Phoenix in the mountains, this is what I have found from playing the course all last semester.  I will start off with the flaws to the course.

The course is a fairly good course, though has some serious flaws to it.  The first issue is that there is very little parking, and it is hard to find the course. The course has very primitive tees, all of which are just boxes outlined in fallen branches and logs.  There are no baskets either, instead, there are trees with lines of tape on them that you aim for.  That makes the course difficult to navigate, however there are signs painted on trees to mark off the tees.  A lot of holes are a bit short, but make up for it with the numerous trees to shoot around.

Besides that, the course is actually very enjoyable.  There is plenty of elevation change to make it an interesting round.  The holes can be difficult, as there are trees, and rocks that give some extra challenge to a hole.  The fairways are fairly narrow but the woods are thin enough that you can leave the main fairway without being stuck in a dense wood.  The course is playable year round, however can have some snow in the winter, nothing compared to the Illinois and Wisconsin levels though.  Wildlife is no big deal, as it is in the high desert, where fewer snakes and scorpions live.  You will find some lizards, but so far, nothing has bothered me out there.

Overall, the course I would give 3 out of 5 stars at most.  It is worth a trip if you are in Prescott, but not worth the trip otherwise.  Flagstaff has some better areas, but courses in AZ are hard to come by.  It could be an incredible course if they were to take advantage of the land they have.  They have looked at opening it up to a 36 hole course.   If anyone finds themselves out in Prescott and wants some company on a round, shoot me a message, I'm out here most of the year now.
