Just wanted to introduce myself...  I'm Aaron, and have been playing the best sport in the world for about 19 years.  No aces yet, but came close three times this past weekend out in the Quad Cities.  I've never played any PDGA events but plan to this year.  I'm definitely hoping to play the Chicagoland Amateur Championships at Adler in a couple months, although I'm not too sure what division to play.  Hopefully I'll get to play with a few of you tourney regulars and get some recommendations on that.  My favorite discs are the Beast, Wraith, Valkyrie, Spider, Roc, and Aviar.  I'm also warming up fast to the Katana and Coyote.

I'm glad to be aboard and look forward to meeting you all soon!

Aaron,

Welcome to the club! I look forward to meeting you. I'd suggest playing in one of the local best shot leagues and asking for other players advice of what division to play. Once I get off the DL i'll be more than happy to play a round out at Warren Township to see where your skill level is at. Dan, Steven, and Tom M play there often as well. They can give you some advice. Join the PDGA and play all of the local events. It's a good way to track your rating and find out where you are at compared to the field.

Welcome!

Get an Ace already

Heh, no doubt!  I bounced an Aviar off the basket side on saturday, at Fuller Park in Muscatine, IA, hole #4.  So close!  Also almost aced an uphill hole at Camden II in Milan, IL as well.  I'm gonna get an ace this year, I can feel it!  Maybe...

Thanks for the welcome, Brett.  I'm definitely wanting to hit up the best shot leagues you guys have, although I can only make every other Sunday.  DL?  I hope it's not too serious.  I've only played the Warren Township park once, pretty fun, I shot a 24, and probably putted a bit better than usual.  Lost my favorite wraith playing into a strong headwind on the last tee, putting it over the basket into the lake (it looked a lot longer than it played!).
