I did a little research into the 2010 NT points.  Its not obvious how the players truly stand by looking at the current points standings.  Only the top 4 finishes are taken and then added to the point totals from Worlds and USDGC.  Worlds and USDGC count no matter what, which creates alot of possibilities down the stretch.

Despite Climo's high current point total, he has no realistic chance to win because of his relatively poor finish at Worlds which can not be dropped.

Nikko, Doss, and Feldberg have the only realistic chances.  Feldberg has a nearly perfect 4 tourney score of 391.  Nikko is at 378.  Doss at 374.  Add that to their Worlds finishes and the totals are Dave 482, Doss 459, Nikko 460.

Only the Skylands NT remains to improve the 4 event total.  If Nikko wins, his total goes to 472, Doss could get to 471, Feldberg will stay at 482 unless he finishes 1st or 2nd.

Anything between those 3 could happen at USDGC, although if Feldberg finishes 3rd or higher, nobody is catching him.  So Dave controls his own destiny.  If he finishes 5th or worse though, the door is wide open for Nikko and Doss.

They should make the NT title a winner-takes-all competition.  It would make it a lot more interesting if these 3 were battling for $8,000 or nothing, rather than $2000 or $1500.

He should remember to tip his manicurist.

Did anybody else read that 2011 will be changing to the NT "Elite" Series?  I read the article on pdga.com and had a hard time understanding how this NT series will be different from the NT in past years, other than each arbitrarily designated 'zone' (why is Minnesota in the same zone as KC?, I feel like the zones were probably drawn up after they knew what events they were going to make NT's, which makes this different how?) has 1 event and the northeast gets 2 events.

I read about it.  I agree that they probably drew the district lines after selecting the NT venues.  It all seemed like hype and spin for same old, same old.
