I'm going to be in Ann Arbor the 1st weekend in December for a music conference. I'll probably have a few hours for DG.

Looking for recommendations... I'm not looking for the most brutal course, but I'm not looking for something 'easy' either. I'll have a car, so something within an hour is feasible. Also, the course would need to be open in December  ;)

Your best bet might be Hudson Mills metropark.  It will cost you $5 to get in + $2 to golf.  Two 24-hole courses in one park.  Also nice and a bit closer to town would be Independence lake.  No entry fee this time of year.  One permanent 18-holer and about half a seasonal course is available currently.

Right in town you will find Bandameer, a nine-holer with three sets of tees for a nice variety of challenges.  Regular random doubles there on Wed. nights, if you're into glow/night golf.  You can check for details at discgolfscene.com where a lot of the local courses and leagues are profiled.

I agree with Joe.  You'd probably enjoy Hudson Mills short tees on either course.  The long tees have a lot of hard threes but are not brutral.  The locals do a very good job of keeping at least some of the tees salted and shoveled.

I'll meet you for a round if you give me a call or send me a Discontinuum message.
