Well, I met with two parks maintenance managers from the Waukegan Park District on Wednesday afternoon. Mike Trigg couldn't make it. Turns out that these guys will be the ones doing the work, One of them did the repainting of the teepost legends. Here's the skinny on the tee markers:

Each alternate tee will have one cement marker, marking the right side of the front of the tee. Each will be 12" diameter, 3" thick, and placed flush with the ground. Each will have the hole number and distance stencilled in red. Each will be heavily coated with polyurethane for protection. They told me they would complete this project before May 1st. The WPD is picking up the tab - THANKS WPD!

You will find that some of the tees have changed. Two have moved completely, while some have gotten much longer! Hole #10 is shorter, only 175 feet - and now a righty hole, but #25 is a long 395 feet. I hope you all like 'em. We will officially have a virtual 27-hole course! Yoo-hoo!

Also - TRASH CANS.  Got the preliminary approval to install the trash cans that Adrian made. I just have to show one to Mr. Trigg to let him see how pretty they are. Adrian has also purchased a ton of bags. The deal is: if we install them, we maintain them properly. I agreed to weekly collection of bags which we can place in the larger WPD cans in the parking lot. We will be responsible for them and their upkeep. With our name on each can, it's some great publicity and a good public service!

Sounds awesome! I think that between skins & best shot we should be able to keep the trash cans emptied.
Don't forget your towel!

Awesome save Adrian! Where was it? He lost it throwing 18 at about 6:30 on Thursday... Its amazing we didn't see it, seeing how its all bright neon pink and all.
Don't forget your towel!

I met with Mike Trigg today who showed me the progress they are making on the alternate tee markers. They'll look nice. Maybe even a little arrow pointing toward the hole. He said it will probably be done within 2 weeks - 3 tops. Check the website's Bevier Map for alternate holes in a day or so to see the new placement/layout. I'll also have copies at Best Shot.

That sounds sweet! Hopefully the markers will look cool. I can't wait till the end of May when I can start playing every day.
