Well, Jon Brakel came in 2nd place behind incumbant Wilbur Wallis for IL State Coordinator.

Terry Miller won Wisconsin's seat.

Congrats to all.  IF YOU DID NOT VOTE, SHAME ON YOU!! A few votes really make a difference in these regional elections.  23 ballots were "spoiled" for State Coords, and that could have been part of the reason why Jon didn't make it.

Oh yeah, here's the PDGA Discussion Board thread:

Heh. UltraBoard will convert anything with a http:// into a URL... That probably is a link now, as would http://dustbunnies, or http://sloppydrunk
Don't forget your towel!

Congrats, Bruce!  If you can get a ferry from Milwaukee to Ludington, I'll play there more.

The real reason I didn't make it is because I wasn't on the ballot. I'll be on in two years unless something better comes up. BTW, my brother Bruce was elected state coordinator of MI by one vote!

I think the ferry runs from Manitowoc to Ludington, which is faster since you can drive 70 m.p.h. on the interstate but the ferry only manages about 20-25 knots.  Once you get off the ferry you are 15 minutes from the three Ludington courses and 35 minutes from Flip City.

So on a nice weekend at the very end of May you take Friday off and drive north.  A relaxing boat trip later you find yourself in disc golf Medina [not quite as big as Mecca] with a tournament to play on Sunday and lots of other golfertunities on Saturday!

Here's the website for the ferry.  I have not taken the time to figure out UltraBoard coding so you probably have to highlight-copy-paste to the address window.
