My new one with Jon's custom stamp that I bought from Bruce at the first Safari!  *sob*

Lost it the first round I ever played with it!  *SOB*

Played the long tees at Parkside Saturday (badly) with Josh, Kyle, and some other friends.  I threw the fly dye XL on 18, smack into a tree.  Picked it up and moved on.  Finished the hole, I may have thrown it again, don't remember.  When I went through my discs yesterday it was gone.  :(   If I threw it again, I may have forgotten to pick it up (lost my red Stingray in Oct. that way) , or it fell out of my bag as we were leaving (lost my white KC Eagle at that way at Willow Stream Park in Buffalo Grove in Nov).   Both discs had my name and phone number...no one called.  :(

You know, playing a round badly is bad enough.  Playing badly in the cold and wind is worse.  Playing badly in the cold and wind and throwing your new disc into the only tree within 50' is worse yet.  But then LOSING it?!

That really hurts...

BTW, yes, it does have my name and phone number on the back of it.  One can only hope for the best, right?

also, if it was lost on the actual course and not on the walking path theres a good chance the disc is still out there... We're the only crazies that play during the winter, especially when its this freaking cold out.
Don't forget your towel!

Steve, I feel your pain. But have hope because I have had discs come back years after I lost 'em. There's a guys named Adrian who plays who has this talent for finding discs all over. In 1999, I threw a Hawk into Bevier's lake on Hole 5. Last March, I'm playing Hole 5, and see something at the bank of the lake. MY HAWK! Fate has a way of just happening.....

Good luck!

A lost disc can be claimed at the police office.  The building is east of wood Rd.  Just to the left of hole 4 and behind 5 longs teepad across the street.  Drive to the east side of the building at the end of the parking lot and see if they found it.  They will call you if they find it.
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.

Mirth's got a good point there.  I'm sure there haven't been that many DGers out there since we played.  Too cold, too dark, too windy.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  I've got my hopes up!

Yeah, that's true.  I'm going to try head out there tomorrow morning (when it's zero degrees) and walk the 18th, see if it's still out there.  Then I'll go to the student union on the off chance someone turned it in.
