just wanted to give a heads up to anyone interested in the Championship course being designed and installed in the Peoria area...................

I had the pleasure at the annual meeting on Saturday, to announce that the Peoria Frisbee Club has agreed to purchase ALL EIGHTEEN baskets for the Wildlife Prairie Park Disc Golf Course. An agreement with WPP has been drawn, and is awaiting the signature of the Park's representative. These baskets wil be the Championship approved King Pin Baskets in a Blaze Orange coloring.
Hopefully this will allow Brian and the others who have been very dedicated to laying the ground work for this course, to focus on the final touches to the layout and not be distracted by the fund raising aspect of the project. Which brings to the surface the issue of what is going to happen with the funds already raised? Those funds are being used to install the signage and concrete for the tee boxes and baskets. With the funds that have been raised thus far, we will have enough to at least get a full set of the pads on the ground. With any luck at all, we will begin putting this course in the ground when the weather breaks this spring, and be playing by late spring.
I know that the fund raising that has taken place so far, was on the basis of Hole Sponsorships. I believe that we will continue with that principle, only now the money will be sponsoring more than one hole. The details of this are yet to be worked out, but those who have supported our efforts will be acknowledged as sponsors on the course.
Thanks to all who have supported the establishment of this course. Hope to see you out there in the Spring.
Tom H Austin, Treasurer.

and the talk going around is Nate, with Ledgestone will be having this as one of his tournaments in his 8 tourny series next year. Don't quote me on that though, as plans could change!

looks like I was nominated to be the TD for Bradley Park in Nate's 8 tourny series in 2012. Hope to see alot of  you guys at this event. I am going to try to play the original 1980's layout, a much better course than what Bradley is today. there is a meeting tonight, I will pass along what we find out.
