The Skyline Amateur Series is getting close to the Illinois border by visiting the Grey Fox Course in Silver Lake, Wisconsin.

With that being said I'd love to invite everyone to come and play in this event.  Here are some specifics:

THERE IS ZERO IRO FEE IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT BY END OF DAY ON 5/30!

If you sign up between Thursday and Saturday it will be a $3 and if you show up that day to sign up it will be a $10 late fee. Please commit to playing one of the best courses in the state!

PDGA C-Tier
June 3rd, Sunday
Singles Event
2 Rounds of 18 holes
"Super 6" Finals for top 3 players in the Gold and Silver Divisions

Division names and prices include:

Gold Division (Anyone rated 935 and above): $40

Silver Division (All players rated 934 and below): $35

Diamond (All Women rated under 900) : $30

2 Other Very Important Things:

1) The ACE POOL WAS NOT HIT at the last stop which means there is almost $100 already feeding this ace pool!

2)  We will play one round to the short pins and one round to the classic pins.  I'm not sure which order that will be in but it will be one round to each!

Current list of pre-registered players can be found here: http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/93685

Are those pro divisions or am divisions?

Normal PDGA rules apply meaning if you are below 970 but have cashed then you can play in the appropriate division.  We have a handful of people in the 940's or 950's that have cashed in Open in the past but are playing in the Gold Division here.  I think they like that there is no real pressure or criticism for playing in a division where they are more suited simply because someone can't yell at them 'move up' because won't don't offer 'pro' divisions.

There is more general information on my site on the http://www.skylinediscgolf.com/skyline-amateur-series page.

Do you have to be a PDGA member to participate?  I am a member but have some friends who are not and want to play in this.

Thanks.

This is a C-Tier Tournament so the short answer is NO, you do not have to be a member to participate.

HOWEVER, if you are not a current PDGA member for the event you are subject to a $10 "PDGA Non-Member" fee.

When you go to select the options on the www.iRegisteredOnline.com page you can select to add that $10 non-member fee right there to take care of it.

If any of your friends do wish to become a PDGA member then I have something special for you.  I can provide a 20% discount to anyone looking to become a member that is playing in the Skyline Am Series.  So with that being said, it would be just $40 for the year for any NEW memberships.  So that's an option as well and let me know if they wish to go that route.

Thanks and I hope to see a bunch of people at one of the nicest courses in the Midwest!

Thanks Terry!  Thats a pretty good deal for a membership..

Just one more thing to clarify:  If you were a Non-PDGA member and did not pre register, it would be $10 non member fee and a $10 "walk up/day of" fee correct?

YES - you got it.

Like all tournaments I want to do everything under the sun to get players to commit to playing in the event ahead of time.  It makes things run so much smoother and it a $10 "day of" fee seems to sway people into pre-registering.

I've even done something which I rarely do which is WAIVE the IRO registration surcharge.  Normally that ranges from $3 to $5 for events but as a way to encourage, entice, and reward people that want to sign up for this event, you can do it quickly and securely using your PayPal balance or credit cards all on www.iRegisteredOnline.com  That offer is good until Wednesday, May 30th!

So that means if you send a check it is the same amount as if you pay online!  I simply want a commitment from people to come and play!  #Boom!

I totally understand about the fees.  Thanks for promptly answering my questions Terry.

I just signed up. See you on June 3rd at beautiful Grey Fox.

I understand now.  Because Gold and Silver were once used to refer to Open and Pro2 at PDGA R-tiers, my brain malfunctioned.   ;D

We are looking a little light on the registration at the moment but I know there are some people that are registering later today and some hope to catch me at the course on Saturday.

Day of registration will likely be available on Sunday but you'll pay a late fee so please commit to the event today and get it taken care of!
