First of all I want to thank Brett Comincioli for being the state coordinator for the past few years. Since Brett is stepping down this year, I figured it was my turn to step up. I intend on running for the IL state coordinator this year. I have big shoes to fill, but hope that I will be able to continue serving as well as Brett has.

I'm glad to hear you are running.  It can be a big, thankless, volunteer responsibility.

Someone asked me to run for Michigan state coordinator today.  I told him I cannot be state coordinator for the same reason I cannot run tournaments in Michigan.  But I'll be happy to continue being the tournament lunch coordinator!   ;D

I'm pretty impressed witht he number of votes. Michigan had 1 more voter than Illinois. California had the most votes.

Congratulations MIke. You will do a great job.  There is only one problem.  You and I have battled over the past few years.  I win by a few, you win by a few.  At Ill. States you beat me by one. Now you are State Coordinator.  You saw what happened to the last guy.  ;D  I'm gonna have you for lunch.  >:D

Kidding aside, Brett, thanks for all you have continued to do for Illinois disc golf. Tough shoes to fill but we have the right guy to fill them.

Congrats and good luck.  Hopefully there are no "Sinnissippi Drop Zone" type situations during your run as State Coordinator!  ;D
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

congrats   mike , no turning back now.

why would they list those non essential items like that ?

typically disc golfer who bitches then will do nothing for the sport

( i for one have voted for my brother in the  past  , but not sure when or how many times)

mr trotter's bio was a little thin  imho ,  mike had a clearer agenda listed

a big thanks to mr trotters central il disc golf efforts

I am glad Mike was running.  I knew Brett was ready to be done and be able to get back to just enjoying the game.  Running a tourney or two doesn't take nearly as much organizational skill as a Tourney Series - so I for one am glad that Mike will be using those skills for the betterment of the entire state.

And thanks for the kind words.

Tom McManus

Illinois did have a huge voter turnout on this, it is great that people took the time to vote. It is nice that we could not go wrong with either choice.
