Marshall is on pace for 1000+ yards. Something the Bears haven't seen since 2002.

Little egregious with the idea after 1 game Brett, but also know that you are joking. Marshall looked great though. Interesting opening day, that's for sure. Green Bay tied with the Steelers for last place.

I know it's not a huge accomplishment to beat the current version of the Colts, but it's always nice to get a big W in Week 1.

Can't wait for Thursday night!!!

Week 1 is always interesting as there are always a bunch of surprises.  Sometimes they are indicative of how the season will play out, sometimes its a 1 game anamoly.

Packers, you've gotten stomped at home 2 games in a row against really good defenses.  Not panic time, but I'd be worried.

The Browns might have the worst offense in the history of pro sports this year.  Weeden 12-35  118yds 0TD 4INT.  Thats a quality starting QB right there.  And still Philly needed a TD in the final 2 min to win 17-16...ugly.

Manning looked like Manning.  That was fun to watch.

I think this week was a sign of things to come for the Saints.  Going to be a rough year in New Orleans.  Brees 24/52 at home.

For the Bears, we learned its nice to actually have some receivers and we learned the Bears are better than the Colts...which is nice.  Luck doesn't have a hell of alot to work with there.

Also, I think the replacement refs blew 1 less game than the regular refs usually blow.  They didn't seem that bad from what I saw.

Will be interesting to watch Cutler against a good defense. Colts started out the game blitzing from what I saw flipping channels back and forth and then seemed to avoid that after it was working. Colts secondary might be worse than Detroit's, but can't tell there yet either. Michael Bush was a good addition as well, didn't seem to use him much outside of goalline though. Forte was great.

that was 1 of the 4 or 5 losses  I counted for the Steelers on the year Taylor!  they hardly ever win Denver.

Nice to see what Forte could do once Cutler has some good weapons. Bennett and company were also able to play better just by having Marshall on the field. I think we should see more of the same on Thursday! I agree with Dan. The replacement refs seem to be doing fine. The regular refs should accept a deal and get back to work.

The last time the Bears scored at least 40 points in a game — including defensive contributions — was Oct. 4, 2009.

48-24 victory over the Lions.

Jay Cutler tells Green Bay Packers DBs: 'Good luck'

WTF??? does he not remember that in 6 tries, he has just 1 win vs the Packers?  just because you beat a team that was 2-14 last year, that lost half of their starters, does not make you a GOOD team Jay!  Packers wont lose 2 games in a row!!

I think he was talking more about the size of Jeffery and Marshall and how they are going to be tough to cover. He's talking some smack, it's only week 2, CHILLAX.

doesn't he know not to talk smack about a team better than his own?? Just adds fuel to the fire already there for being Bears VS Packers!

Reporters asked Cutler about Green Bay's plans to use physical coverage against the Bears WR's.  Cutler said "Good luck, we invite press coverage."  I'm not sure how this is even smack talk.  Its just a statement of fact.  The Bears would invite press coverage against the Green Bay DB's who ranked dead last in the NFL last season in passing defense.  Pretty simple.  Cutler doesn't give longwinded answers that are meant to make everybody feel warm and cozy.  He also doesn't give a shit if you don't like it.

And if he is talking smack, is it so crazy for him to be feeling confident about his chances for success against the worst passing defense in the NFL?  Something tells me McManus isn't feeling too good about his defenses chances to shutdown the Bears passing game tonight, the same way I'm not too confident the Bears defense (28th vs the pass in 2011) has a chance in hell of slowing down Rodgers.

At any rate, I'm looking forward to checking out the game tonight.  I think both teams will put up some points and it will come down to turnovers.  If the Packers don't turn it over, they'll win the game no questions asked.  15-1 last year wasn't a fluke.  The Bears pass rush needs to get to Rodgers repeatedly, and we need to get a couple turnovers to have a chance.

I'm thinking its going to be a 70 or 80 point game and it will come down to a field goal in the last seconds by Gould to put the Bears ahead for the win!
