My honest feeling...Dallas 31  Bears 16.  Hope I'm wrong bigtime.

But we've got JAX next week, so things should be okay!

Almost right on Dan! Just flip flop 'em. :D

Bears defense is alot better than anybody expected this season.  I actually thought this might be a year where the offense carries the defense!  Obviously we haven't played too many talented offenses so far, but we've absolutely dominated the offenses we've played.  Even in GB, we only allowed 1 offensive TD that game (the other was on a fake FG).

Bears defensive ranks:

Points Per Game - 4th
Rush Yds/Game - 3rd
Pass Yds/Game - 13th
Yds/Game - 5th
Takeaways - 1st
3rd Down Conv. - 4th
Sacks - 1st
Defensive TD's - 1st

I hope GB fans enjoyed that loss to the Colts.

Looking at the schedule, it will be interesting to see how the Bears perform against a well balanced team in the Houston Texans on 11/11. The schedule so far and in the near future is nothing short of awesome for stats.

If you completely dominate mediocre or bad teams, that usually means your a pretty good team.  I'm not declaring the Bears to be as good as San Fran or Houston, but I do think they are on that next level.  We certainly look a whole lot better than the Bears team that started 7-3 in 2011 before losing Cutler and Forte.

Right now I'd say Atlanta, SF, Houston, and maybe Baltimore are on that elite level.  The Bears are the next step down with a handful of other teams.

And I'm certainly not counting Green Bay out at 2-3.  They could easily be 4-1 (although if we are playing that game, they also could easily have lost that New Orleans game if not for the holding call on the go-ahead FG).  They do look shaky on both sides of the ball though.  Rodgers completion % is actually higher than last season, which tells me he's still playing at an elite level.  The difference is he's averaging over 2 yds less per attempt.  He just doesn't have any downfield threat this year, which may have something to do with that Jennings' injury.

I read yesterday (so this would be before yesterday's games) that after the bye week the Bears next three opponents have a combined record of 3 - 11. So, they have a really good chance of finishing the first have of the season with a record of 7 - 1. That really gives them a realistic chance of going to the playoffs this year. They really just have to continue to improve on the O-line. Hopefully having these successful games will give the line some confidence and the chance to find their collective rhythm.

I'm pretty sure you just put the whammy on us Jon.  Watch us lose these next 3 now.

I don't buy that after Sunday. EVERYONE was saying that the Bears were going to destroy Jacksonville and they did! :D

Hopefully Philly just physically abuses Detroit. Lovie Smith and the Bears have been really good after a Bye. They are 5-3 after a Bye under Lovie.

Yes I would much prefer to see my team win against a team full of injuries rather than beat them while at full strength...

Not sure if that is gonna matter or not.  Detroit is looking more and more like the same old, team that we have been accustomed to over the past 30-40 seasons.    ;)

The NFL is about matchups and catching teams at the right time. Last night was a perfect example. The Jets were thrashed the week prior and embarassed. They came back strong the week after.

No one cared last season playing the Bears after Forte, Cutler, & Know were gone. Wins are wins in the NFL. The only 2 things that matter are the Wins and Loss Columns.

That only exists in Doug's version of NFL stats.   :laughing7:

Like every other season, the schedule never looks the same half-way in as it did before Week 1.

Bears final 8 games:

vs HOU  @ SF  vs MN   vs SEA   @MN   vs GB   @AZ   @DET

That schedule looks alot tougher than it did 6 weeks ago.  It would be great if the Bears can take care of business the next 3 games and get to 7-1, which would give them a shot at a 1st round bye in the playoffs.  Right now everybody in the NFC has 2 losses except the Falcons and Bears.  That being said, you can never take any game for granted in the NFL.  Every game is a potential loss.  3 weeks from now we could be laughing at the fact we thought the Bears were good and the Packers looked bad.

That game at home against GB in Week 15 could have alot on the line for both teams.

It is still early but the the NFC is completely dominating the AFC. There are three teams with winning records in the AFC and all of their losses have come against NFC teams. This season has been pretty exciting up to this point.  The end of the early games yesterday were unbelievable.  The coaching in Dallas is atrocious, they should have won that game.

CEValkyrie

It wasn't pretty but a win is a win. The Bears defense is stout!
