Parkside Glow Rounds

If anyone is interested, we started playing glow rounds on Fridays at Parkside a couple of weeks ago.

We generally tee-off about 6:30. As it starts to stay light out a little longer we'll move the times to later. Lately we've only had about 4 people show up, so we'd love to have more.

It's a best-shot doubles round. Random draw. $5 plus $1 optional Ace Pool. Winners take all. When we have a larger group, second place usually get their money back and first place takes the rest.

Hey Serg, I going to be in town for St. Patty's day and will be around till Saturday night.  I'll make it to glow this Friday.  This morning I sprained my throwing hand thumb.  Not sure how hard I can grip a disc, but I'm sure I can putt....so best shot sound good.

***CALLING ALL NIGHT GOLFERS*** We will have the legendary "Shawn" in attendance this Friday, March 19 at Parkside. Unsure when he will make the next stop in wonderful Wisconsin. You won't want to miss out on what Carolina has done to this man (other than sprain his thumb). Tee-off between 6:30 - 6:45.

your a trip Serg, I'll be around for a while.  I'm helping Craig with a bunch of signs and am starting back with United in a few weeks.  Got to play with the sore thumb today and met up with Tim D.  My thumb is really sore, not getting any grip... good thing I can putt.

Going to try to make it tonight myself.  I have a nasty cold, though, so we'll see how I am feeling by the end of the day.   Will people have extra sticks that I or someone else can buy from them?  I hope?  I'm all out.

Personally, I use a 3 Volt Lithium battery and LED lights or those lights for night fishing. I may have a couple extra if people would need to borrow them.

What a fun time!  Jojo's putting was laser-like and so accurate! Serg was hot, and it is always so good to see my other Wisconsin friends! Shawn's putting actually improved....sickening.

Just a few questions:

I doubt I can make it out every Friday, but i'd like to give a glow round a try (never played a glow round) Do you run this get together every Friday? What time Approx. ?

Also, where can I get thoes little lights? I've seen them on ebay and disc golf sites but never would go to the trouble to actually order one. Any local store that would carry a similar "caliber" light? (if there is such a thing)

Bass Pro has them. Look for the mini snap stix and the battery powered LED lights in Fishing, they're bobber lights.

Yes, we played last night. Only 4 guys showed up...beautiful night for a round.

Dr. Dye is right; I usually buy my lights at Wal Mart or Dick's Sporting Goods (don't know if there is one in Illinois). Don't have any more glow sticks. The last time I got them was from a tournament.

I think we may start moving the times to a little later. It's obviously staying light out longer. I think last night we teed up a little after 7:00.
