Ok.  I'm going to do it.  I'm going to ask the most annoying question, that has to get posted to each tournament thread at least once:

Does anyone know about when the event will end?

The 2nd round I'll bet will end well before 4 pm, maybe before 3. The putting and driving competitions, well, they've tended to drag on a bit.  ;)
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Currently I'm planning on coming down to defend my title.  I do have a minor conflict right now so I'm not 100% positive but I really want to make it happen.  I've been a pretty big supporter of this club for many years now and I do think this Friday outing is a great idea and I've had fun the past two years.

If it is ok with the club and the local law of the land I can also bring down any merch that people might be in need of.  Particular discs, accessories, etc.  Shoot me an e-mail, terry@prodiscgolfer.com if there is something you are looking for.

I am hoping to tee off promptly at 9:30am. We are playing 2 rounds of 20 holes. I'm hoping to take a quick lunch break then get started again. I believe we were done by 4pm last year. With 3'somes things should move pretty quickly.

OK, I'll be there. Please put me under Amateur right now but that may change (it all depends on my putting in the next two days and if I can scrounge up $10).

Just to let everyone know ahead of time I will be grouping pros with adv players like last year for  the first round.  2nd round all players will be sorted by score. In reality I am running this like 1 big division.

Just to let ams playing pro know.  If you are an Am & accept cash you can still play am if rated under 955. If you accept that cash and are under 955 you can continue to play Am at D,C,B, & A-Tiers. You cannot play Majors as an Am. See the Competition Manual Section 2.4 for more information.

I am trying to get off work for it, but I think I will play pro if it doesn't have any change on an am status.

mirth

it will only change your am status as brett said above.

Playing pro will not change your amateur status. Accepting money or prizes for playing pro WILL change your amateur status. You will be a pro. Currently pros with ratings below 955 can play in tiered tournaments. Pros can not play in Majors (Worlds, Am Nats, etc.) in an amateur division.

I think Brett's explanation is clear, but this is a different way of saying the same thing. Some people will understand better reading Brett's post and some may understand better reading this one.
